Yesterday my husband took me to a local diner for dinner. And I was so excited and happy to go. I haven't left the house since giving birth, well I haven't left the property I've been in the yard many times lol.

And Iv'e just been thinking. I used to do so much more. I toured with a band, did van life, was part of a couple covens, was big in the local scenes, I was never a big party girl, but I still did a lot. But ever since I hit 28 I've mostly just been going to work, the store, or doctor. Now since I don't work anymore, I'm doing one less thing. I get out sometimes for events and hanging with friends, but I've not done any of those things in a while. I feel like I've become a granny. I've even decided to start a veggie garden.

So have you gotten boring in your old age

Sounds like the beginning of a midlife crisis for you lol. You chose to be a parent, which is a very demanding and thankless position in and of itself. If you feel you can’t do more with that while being a parent, like traveling while also being a parent, that sucks for you that you feel the need to limit yourself so harshly.
But I’ve been an 85 year old trapped in a younger body for a long time. I was never one for parties or concerts or getting so drunk/high I meet god before sobering up. I’m good.

I partied pretty hard , and pretty late ( in age ) and honestly I loved all that.. but , now I genuinely sleep 8 hrs and live completely differently , mainly based around exercise..
The old life I don't know how I did the next day..

I am seriously , seriously so MUCH more boring !

Even sometimes the golf comps , I think " arrgh I could take it or leave it " ..

So my answer is a big YES 100 % , and in my case " about time " .

Kids change everything. For the first time in your life you truly have someone who is entirely reliant on you and it changes routine and everything. I get the feeling you have because my wife and I have gone through it with our kids. I still wouldn't trade it for the world, they're beautiful :)

Likely boring to a 21 year old. My interests have changed. I was a bodybuilding Marine and now I listen to NPR and write academic research lol. But I get to travel a lot for work and meet cool people. Getting a pontoon boat soon 😎 adult money is fun.

I don't really know. I go to the gym way more, I ride my bike I swim a lot so I can get my scuba cert. I need it because I want to study open ocean aquaculture. I sew and drive miles and miles between property I own my boat and my apartment. I guess Im pretty active if at a slow pace.

Yes, I did a lot in the ten years before I got married. After I had kids I really just worked all the time and when I was not working I was going to school at night. I coached soccer and did other activities with my kids. I have not been on a plane since before 9/11 happened. Now that my kids are all grown up and moved out I want to travel again but it is hard to figure out how to do it.

Absolutely. As teen and twen we went out at least twice a week. Discos, clubs, bars, festivals, other events… Nowadays it’s not even ten percent of that. 🤔

My whole life has been boring and keeping my parents wishes of not going out.
And as soon as I turned 20 I left my house and now I realised I don't have any interest left to explore,.
And turning 25 was a disaster, because I lost all my strength to do anything fun.

A few weeks. It's not been too bad, I've had friends visit and family was staying over to help, but family has left, so things have gotten a bit more boring. My husband found a sitter through care dot com I think. Anyway she watched the baby yesterday and she was great. So hopefully we can get out a bit more lol
