Because she's overweight and eating all her food.
Being obese is shameful and immoral. Its also bad for the environment and causes all your health problems.
She hates herself and as a result doesn’t want her daughter to be fat. While also being hypocritical and not taking a honest look in the mirror to shame herself for being big
it's a "do as i say not as i do" kind of situation. she doesn't want you to end up like her.
She may be hoping to convince the daughter not to become plus size like her.
