IF you have kids, did anyone wait until they were born to know the gender?

It does seem the gender reveal thing is a GIANT party industry. My son is 30 and the doc asked me if i wanted to know and I said no because I wasn't doing the pink or blue thing or making a big deal of whatever sex it was going to be. Birth seemed soon enuogh. And i got sex neutral gifts etc., dressed my son in colors that he looked good in no matter what they were and to this day he wears lovely clothing that compliments his looks and coloring and I like 90% of the time.

Human males and females are blends of the two sexes and strict gender roles have never been what I believe in. He's a guy with a big heart but works in a male role in physcial plant maintenance. So he's a blend. I don't rigidity plays well in gender any more than it does in anything else!

I waited for my first child. It was very exciting. I found out for my 2nd. That was also fun. Both have their merits for different reasons. I'd suggest everyone try both ways.

We are 50/50 on it still. I think my wife will cave before it happens though!

stay strong. funny enough, I was so overwhelmed by the birth I forgot that we didn't know the gender... finally my wife goes "well, what is it?"

I’m not a parent but I have several people in my family that did it this way, including my mom lol. Baby shower gifts were unisex or generic, two of my relatives only asked for gifts of diapers and formula.

We had 3 kids and each one was a surprise. My wife's Italian grandfather went 3 for three. He said he could tell by how high my wife was carrying.

yes we did
