Should a gentleman treat a woman with respect, even if she isn’t nice?

It's always OK to call an asshole an asshole regardless of gender, social status, wealth, etc. And if she gets physical first, it's perfectly OK to neutralize the threat as fast as possible. It's not OK to beat her to a pulp because you're pissed off and can't control yourself.

Respect is earned. It is not an entitlement or a right. And respect can be squandered in an instant with bad behavior. By anyone. Always be respectful to everyone right up to the moment they give you a reason to lose respect for them.

Generally, yes, but being a gentleman doesn’t mean being a doormat. You can kindly and respectfully excuse yourself and go find a more suitable companion.
Personally, i reserve gentlemanly behavior for the ladies. I haven’t had to behave like a gentleman in well over a decade! I don’t think there are any proper ladies left in the west. 😂😂😂

I understand. That’s why i chose the word “companion”. It doesn’t necessarily denote romantic interest or involvement. I stand by my response. Politely excuse yourself and find someone who is more amenable to positive social interactions. You should never have to tolerate rude behavior.

They are smaller and weaker and deserve more kinder treatment from a big strong handsome, rich, bachelor such as yourself.
