At what age did you move out of your parents’ house?

Technically, 18 when I went to school. That is only for about three quarters of the year, with holiday breaks. So, I am not technically moved out totally. I still live at home in the summer and school breaks.

I have a ways to go until I get my degree and then my masters, which is pretty much required to have a decent wage in the state I live as a teacher. I may be able to start teaching at a lower wage and go to school locally while I get my post degree.

Earliest move out will be about 22-23.

I was 16 1/2 I already had a job at nights because when I got my license I wanted to have a car

It didn't quite work out like that but almost probably just about another 6 months after I turned 17 I had a car and my license and was getting ready to graduate so everything worked out pretty good

Except for everything that I thought I knew I realized that I didn't so I had to grow up fast

But I would not change one thing I would do it the same way

Boys should be kicked out of the nest sooner. This entire ideology of make the world more comfortable is keeping people soft. It's a parents job to teach their children how to survive. Too many parents let their kids suck Mommy's nipple for far to long.

Historically multi generational home was normal. In the United States of America had a unique time period of growth where land grabbing and spread the fuck out had monumental wealth benefits. That time is about over.

i dont understand why some parents want their kids out by 18. the average 18 year old still has nothing. its toxic af. and with inflation and stagnant wages, its even harder nowadays to be independent
