OkayI kinda get it now that I think about itHe's almost 90 so he deserves to be treated gentlyI can choose subjects for conversation to suit himAnd I know what he's going to sayI just have to put up with itMostly when I see him in on my own. That probably doesn't help. We talk about the same things every time

I know irritating people do. The trick is not to blow up or act hostile. You get angry but you keep it to yourself and you forget your anger so fast that it seems like you have dementia.
