So far I haven't had to. My dad moved back to Canada to be with his family. My mom is moving to a different city an hour away, where she grew up, to live close to her best friend and enjoy retirement together. She does have a bad hip and walks with a limp so that's concerning but she's still able to take care of herself she also had an injury on her foot once and that got fixed I think but she still has difficulty walking. Actually she could barely walk back then and I told her to go to a doctor and then they found her foot injury which had to be operated.
Her driving has also gotten a lot worse. She used to be honestly the best driver for just regular traffick she never made mistakes and it was always safe and smooth and easy. Now she doesn't see things sometimes and things are not as easy, she gets flustered sometimes. But in Switzerland you can live well without a car so even if she has to give that up she'll be fine. I don't know if she has any plans for when she can't take care of herself anymore but for now things are still ok.
Yes I nursed my father while he was sick and dying. I'd do it again a thousand times and now I am taking care of my mother but she's still aa fit as a fiddle but I'll be there for her always.
I help them whenever it's needed. Big family so there's always people around
They are healthy, but I will when I need to
I wish they were still here for me to take care of them.
