How do I get out of the 'brother-zone'?

I like this one girl, we've known each other for like two years. After she broke up with her boyfriend I told her I liked her and we should go out. And she said I was more like a brother. What advice does the internet have for getting into the boyfriend zone and out of the brother zone?

If she had told you that before you confessed your feelings, it could have been because she never thought about a relationship with you (yet). But if she told you that after you said you liked her like that, she really means it - she might like but doesn't feel that kind of chemistry.

If it hurts too much to be around her just as a friend you should reconsider being around her.

Do your own thing, "chase" other girls, be confident, do new thing, get new hobbies. Distract yourself and improve yourself (not because you're not good enough for her, but to be the best person for yourself).

Then, one of two things will happen: you'll meet a new great girl who will fall for you, or this friend will look at you in other way and "un-brotherzone" you (but don't do anything of that for her, do it for yourself) - maybe that will happen and you won't even like her like that anymore.

I'm sorry to say that getting out of the brother-zone is nearly impossible. Friend-zone maybe but rarely the brother-zone. The easiest thing for you to do is move on. When I see a guy as my brother, he's done and out for all eternity. If I see him as a friend, he has a shot, he just has to work really hard.

I hear women say all the time " all the good ones are married or gay" as well as "all men are shallow pigs" ext. That hurts ladies, I have to wonder if that is because all the good ones have been "brother zoned". This is a question to ask your self "did I brother zone the man I was supposed to be with?" Remember a brother picks on his sisters not his lover.
