When did you finally decide to be a free bird and leave the nest? At what age did you move out of your parents house?

I know it’s sad, but sometimes growing up without your father is less toxic then growing up with him.

I am 18 and my mom is a 45 years old nurse, who is dating a successful 36 years old surgeon. They are both very in love with each other and her boyfriend proposed to her a month ago. He consider me like his daughter, and I like him the same way, but I always hear peoples around me claiming how this guy is an idiot despite being a rich doctor for marrying an older single mother , and a guy even said that If he was a successful good looking surgeon like my step-dad he would fuck girls my age everyday instead of marrying a woman like my mother, and I found that to be very gross. I admit that he’s a fit good looking guy and their age gap is quite obvious just like their love for each other, but I don’t understand why are peoples so angry! What piss me off is that ALL my friends are acting surprised when they meet them and they keep telling how the heck did my mother seduced my step-dad which I find to be insulting, it’s insulting right? Are they just jealous?

I am one that can keep secrets, when it truly is a secret.

Like some secrets really aren't that secret and that word is just thrown around rather loosely.

But then there are the times when you can't believe what you are hearing and you sit there frozen listening with your mouth open, thinking..."Wow, this really is a secret that I would never want anyone to know, and I will never betray my friend and let this out to anyone, ever, without their permission!"

Have you ever had one of those "real secrets" get out from someone you believed would never do that to you and had your heart broken, or worse?

Do you consider the attractiveness of a person before you become friends with them?

Ok I’m about the same height or taller than my mom and I’m probably not gonna get as tall as my dad. He’s 6’2

Do you think you could beat your mother (girls) when she was your age? Guy, do you think you could beat your father when he was your age?

There's a guy at work who thinks he's all manly by taking up too much space, even tho he's really skinny.
I told him politely not to keep moving too close to me cos he's in my way and when i lean away from him, it hurts my back a bit.
But he got angry with me!

Also there's a lot of people, who, when i move away, they come closer to me!!! Its so annoying! Cos they stand far too close to people!

Somehow being around couples, especially my friends feel so... different. It kinda makes me want to throw up but it's also fun to watch people you thought you knew becoming totally different people when they're with their SO.

Do you get this uncomfortable feeling too? How to deal with this, cause I don't wanna disturb my friends' moments lol?

I was bullied a lot in middle school and was frequently given the advice to "ignore your bullies, and they'll leave you alone." Who did this work for??? I often thought, do these adults think that I am purposefully going and finding my bullies and trying to interact with them in anyway...they're bullies! Clearly I had no desire to be around them and tried to avoid them in every way. How do you ignore someone you have all your classes with, or that rides your same bus, or potentially lives in your neighborhood, and now days, has social media?

I’m 18 and since I was a little girl my mother’s little brother was always here for me while my dad was more focused on his career. My uncle was a student when I was a child but he taught me how to read, to swim, to ride a bike, and he bought me my first iPhone when he started his business, my mom even told me that he changed my diapers more than her and he even take me sometimes on trips when he can. He’s only 17 years older than me but I feel that he was more present on my life than my father. And I still remember that he was the only one that used to read me some fairy tails while my parents never did that. Even If he was handsome and popular he always preferred to spend time with me, to teach me new things instead of partying with his friends in college. When I was asked who I love more after my mother I accidentally said my uncle and I felt bad because I thought that I should love my dad more, even if he was absent but I noticed that my uncle was more here for me than him. Isn’t it weird?
