It totally makes sense, before you know a stranger aka celebrity they can be amazing in your eyes but with people you know it helps you to understand who they are for real and not just who you think they are

Never seen that statement "Your biggest fan is a stranger...", a new concept to me, wondered where you heard or found that. I can't imagine a stranger being better than a friend that knows me and I trust them. When I say trust, I mean, I trust they mean well, respect me... not that I agree with everything they believe or think. e. g. politics... ugh!

How can a stranger be your biggest fan unless he knows you well? Not possible. Its not necessary your biggest hater is someone who knows you unless he's among those who hate you ! But all your friends are unlikely to be your haters!

It's possible, there are various celebs, athletes, and musicians we do not know yet support and look up to them
