My 9-year-old brother and his dad (my stepdad) got in a heated argument about this. He was talking to his friends about his favorite color on a video game. Also his dad doesn't allow him to talk to Hispanic or Asian people (black & white people are OK), although he denies being racist because "we all bleed red."

This question is NOT at what age your child should stop sharing your bed routinely. I am asking about those nights when a child comes into your room and says they are scared, can't sleep, whatever excuse, and they want to get in bed with you.

This issue arose in a private conversation recently and I had no context for understanding since I have never had children. If you are a single parent, does the answer depend on whether the child is your gender or opposite gender?

I'm now slightly taller then my mom and I think I'm definitely stronger then her now. We still have funny play fights and she says I'm way stronger then I used to be which makes me feel good

I was curious tho and I asked her if she thinks she could beat me if we fought and she said she still definitely could. We have ordered mma gloves online to have a rougher fight

I asked her what rules she wants and she said none besides eye poking being banned and I just accepted because why not

Do you think she could actually beat me and how?

She is slightly shorter then me and slim build and I'm just an average build for a guy

I recently moved into an apartment with my older sister because we go to the same university and we get on well so decided to share the rent.

However, it's been a while since we lived at home together and once aspect of her behaviour has definitely changed.

She's extremly open with nudity.
Not in a creepy sexual way.
But for example, she will come home from gym and throw all her clothes into the washing machine in the laundry and then walk through the apartment naked to the bathroom for a shower. Or she will try and come into the bathroom while im showering so that she can do her makeup or brush teeth etc and the fact that im naked doesn't even seem to register in her mind as a problem.
Is this a normal attitude within adult families?

What are your thoughts on it?

Or is it better to let them stay as long as it takes until they are making enough to make it on their own?

Why do we push masculine/feminine traits on kids?

Do you still feel embarrassed if you don't have anyone around to see it? like say tripping over something?

Here is situation:
son is 28 years old, makes over 100k a year. Lives with family because he chooses to take care of them. House his sons. Father makes no money and does not work. Father won’t allow son access to any of his money because father doesn’t want him spending it on his girlfriend or cigarettes.

does father have right to do this? Is he in the right?

Would you let a 13 year old kid go to the grocery store buy itself and shop for groceries if you gave that child some money.

Who do you think is more ticklish?

Are mothers still the main nurturer or are absent fathers to blame?

A couple years ago (then a HS senior), I was a total jerk and humiliated a girl that had a crush on me. She accidentally left her journal and I stole it for 2 days, made copies of it, gave it to several classmates and made an ugly drawing of her with herpes. I was trying to get more attention and wanted to be popular.

It totally backfired. Only 4 classmates laughed while (including my 2 best friends) most were upset with me. To make long story short, I got drunk with my friends and they shaved off my eyebrows and parts of my hair on top was shaved (it had capital letters LOSER carved on top) while I was asleep. I had to still go to school and it caused some laughter.

Was that deserved? That was super embarrassing to be honest. I had to wear a cap for a while and wait for my eyebrows to grow.

It’s like the objective is to get as “unique” as possible. So add an apostrophe or delete a vowel...
