I've always kind of wondered the same thing. And I'm concluded about myself that it's simply because I like breathing space in my jeans and belts don't always offer that.
It's just seen as more of a masculine style in my opinion. Plus, let's be real, many girls get jeans tight enough to showcase their lovely ass, no belts are needed.
I wonder where these chicks are getting pants that fit them perfectly like that, lol. When I buy jeans that actually fit me around the waist (US 8) they are way too short! I have to buy plus sized haha.
@musicbrain5 ha ha your right about that! Mabye they squeeze so tight into a pair that cuts off leg circulation, because rarely do jeans fit perfectly.
I wear a belt all the time. My pants usually need one. Now it's hotter, so, I'll be wearing dresses and shorts, which are so tight, no one usually needs a belt.
well im glad they are benefiting someone, but i personally can not stand them. i try wearing them but then my pants end up being too tight or too lose. always.
You didn't buy the right fit belt. Sometimes if it's too loose buy a wider belt, too tight buy a thinner belt. Usually the best fit is where you wear it on the middle belt strap hole.
well yeah thats what i meant, every single belt i've ever tried on never actually fit right. its like half the loops will be too loose and then i'll finally get to a tighter loop, but it will make my jeans too tight. i've literally cut in loops just to finally have an in between one that makes my pants fit just right
Buy braided belts, you can buckle them anywhere! American Eagle sells brown and black ones, I have one and it's always the perfect fit and goes very well with jeans! www.ae.com/.../0423_3686_073?cm=sUS-cUSD
I literally bought one last month and these are good quality, you can try it on in store too until you find the right size. I also have the regular leather belt they sell, had it for 3 years and still looks brand new after all the times I've worn it.
I see what you mean. I only wore it for fashionable purposes. My pants all fit me well, but I like wearing a belt to be more fashionable. Whether that would be around my hips or around my waist
That's there 2nd function, there 1st function is to hold your pants up. Since I am not an accessorie person I wouldn't use a belt for anything other than its initial function of holding said pants up.

i wear thin belts with my jeans
Skinny belts or like ones 1 inch wide?
the skinny belts
They went out of style about a decade ago. I certainly do miss 2006 and the "scene" scene opposed to this hipster crap that passes for fashion now.
I normally wear belt with my jeans but I have some jeans that are so wedged on , its easy to get away with not wearing a belt.
At least you wear it sometimes, that's a normal circumstance I think.
@Asker. yea
OMG I love ur profile pic! I'm a huge trunks fan. I have a life size replica sword: )
@FauxGirlNikki omg, true. am soo jealous right now!!
@luvstoned4him best theme song is DBZ Kai ;)
@FauxGirlNikki totally :D :D
I can't speak for us all but I wear a belt with my jeans.
Good to hear! Is it for fit purposes, style, or both?
More for practical purposes the style
I've always kind of wondered the same thing. And I'm concluded about myself that it's simply because I like breathing space in my jeans and belts don't always offer that.
What about wearing it a notch looser, or wearing the buckle to the side.
It's just seen as more of a masculine style in my opinion. Plus, let's be real, many girls get jeans tight enough to showcase their lovely ass, no belts are needed.
Back in the 90s and early 2000's belts were in and it had nothing to do with Jean fit for women
I don't know man, just my opinion
I wonder where these chicks are getting pants that fit them perfectly like that, lol. When I buy jeans that actually fit me around the waist (US 8) they are way too short! I have to buy plus sized haha.

They do, they probably just hide it. I still do and depending on the shirt/belt it can be more/less obvious.
That's a good point. This was also based on what I read online or from word of mouth. I like the look of belted jeans so I wish they wouldn't hide it
I wear a belt all the time. My pants usually need one. Now it's hotter, so, I'll be wearing dresses and shorts, which are so tight, no one usually needs a belt.
belts are the root of evil!! i can't stand them. one loop is too tight, the next one is too loose. there is never an in between
All belt loops are the same lol, unless you broke one. I wear a belt daily and feel lost without one.
well im glad they are benefiting someone, but i personally can not stand them. i try wearing them but then my pants end up being too tight or too lose. always.

i used to have like 3 pairs of those belts. they always let me down.
or is it just 3 belts? aha i dont know why i said pairs
I literally bought one last month and these are good quality, you can try it on in store too until you find the right size. I also have the regular leather belt they sell, had it for 3 years and still looks brand new after all the times I've worn it.
I hate belts. My pants are usually looser around the waist, but I'd rather just keep pulling them up than wear belts because I hate belts.
Why hate them? You don't even know you have them on if the buckle isn't too big
I don't know. I just hate them.
I wore that on Friday for work. Khaki coloured jeans, black belt, black tshirt and a khaki coloured coat
For work, what about casually?
I wore that when I went grocery shopping after work that day. Don't think it makes a difference.. Does it?
Yes, many girls here only wear a belt for work, but if you wore is casually it shows some girls still wear belts for all ocassions 🙂
I see what you mean. I only wore it for fashionable purposes. My pants all fit me well, but I like wearing a belt to be more fashionable. Whether that would be around my hips or around my waist
Belts are to keep your pants up, my pants fit, thus I do not need a belt.
Belts also make the outfit look well put together and not plain. Adding a regular black or brown belt to jeans makes them look more dressy.
That's there 2nd function, there 1st function is to hold your pants up. Since I am not an accessorie person I wouldn't use a belt for anything other than its initial function of holding said pants up.
They all wear belts where i'm from - just as a fashion accessory rather than actually holding the jeans up, since they're tight enough anyway.
The logic is the same here, but too many yoga pants fad, they remind me of pajamas! Go back to wearing jeans ladies 🙂
cause it's fucking uncomfortable. I never liked it... -__-
besides, all my pants fit and I actually prefer seeing them without a belt
Belts are a hassle
Seeing them as a hassle is like saying earrings or lipstick is a hassle to put on. How are they uncomfortable? There are different sizes of belts.
lol lipstick and earrings?
lmao not the same thing at all!
belts are for sure not as important as lipstick and earrings. not by far!
and lipstick and earrings are not as uncomfortable as belts. not at all.
not to mention belts are not as fashionable. not that much of a necessity
@Hookingswan hey! my account was closed.
because my pants don't fall off of me. Belts are meant to hold pants up but my pants don't fall down
So, a belt doesn't make the outfit look better, like the term "accessory" it fits into? It doesn't always have to be for fit reasons.
I don't think belts make an outfit look better
I dunno, looks maybe? I always wear a belt. Pants are always on the loose side around the waist :P
Belts are not in style anymore.
Frankly, I have no need for them
I do.
Nothing ever fits me right.
I hear ya!
Sometimes I don't feel like dealing with feeding a belt through the loops and stuff
It takes seconds, and it actually looks good, you like to go out and look good right, guys notice the extra effort. 🙂
Lol if I'm not with friends yeah I guess... But if I am they get the attention and I get to people watch, which I like :p
Your powers of observation are much, much better than mine.
I never notice if girls are wearing belts or not. If the majority of the population ever did wear belts than it skipped my attention
I check out women's bodies, so it's kinda obvious...
I do it too, and it's not obvious to me
