You see, there is a thin line between overdoing it and keeping it subtle. Keep it subtle when you're trying to impress or attract someone. Once they are in love with you, they wouldn't really care how you look without makeup or with it. Coz for them you're the most beautiful woman in the world, no matter what.
obviously the reason why the girls who wear makeup get approached more is because they appear more attractive at the moment. but either way the guy is gonna find out exactly what you look like without make up on sooner or later, no?
It really depends. My ex girlfriend very rarely used any make up. I met her without it, and always dealed with her without it. I always knew what she actually looked like, and was happy with it. That made it so that when she used make up, i would be pleasantly surprised, because a girl i already thought was beautiful, now, was even more so. My opinion is that on day to day activities, too much make up is just a... lie. Both to girls, and guys. Its some tough shit
I think that girls need to stop being fake, I think that girls need to stop taking hours to get ready. Get a hobby where you use your brain and your hands. And stop worrying about your weight.
It's not being fake... Using make up is a skill. And it needs brain. Not everyone can put makeup correctly and having make up skill can get you money if you're serious in it.
Eww those girls are bad examples but if you think about it makeup never existed to the extreme it does today and there are no book written about how bad girls look without makeup in the Middle Ages so obviously guys slept with girls back then too. All makeup did was just raise the bar on how girls think they should present themselves
If she has healthy skin and looks great without make up yes, in any other case no. Humans are superficial, looks matter, also the girl who wears make up seems better groomed more attractive and thus more confident.
I'm a guy, and I prefer girls with no make up (natrual beauty). Some girls probably don't even need to use make up at all. And if she had spots/acne, it will soon go away if it's looked after and treated with cream properly.

i definitely prefer women without makeup, i love the innocent and pure features of women and I just don't understand why people would waste time and money to change their features. make up is used to emphasize features, not to change them. natural or light make up is fine, but thick eye liners and false eye lashes? that's a bit over the top

When guys say they prefer girls without makeup, I think what they really mean is they prefer girls without too much makeup. The more makeup you wear, the less natural you look. The goal is to enhance your natural beauty without going overboard and looking clownish. I think most guys will agree with that statement.
The only time I've seen a large amount of women without makeup on is when I was backpacking the AT. Not one of the women I met looked perfect. But almost all of them looked beautiful nonetheless.
There is somethingthat is incredibly sexy about showing off your natural self with confidence, and not trying to hide behind a mask.
If you feel like you need it use it. My advice is just to use so much you look like a clown.
But, yeah, I still go with what I always did, in which I don't really care about make up. Not sure why it's so hard to believe. Guys that say otherwise are either extremely picky and/or annoying guys online pretending to have higher "standards".
I can see a girl covering up her zits. now a girl putting on to much make up there is no need. lipstick here and there some eye shadow I get it. A woman wants to look good. Thats fine but heavy eye liner Heavy eye shadow and dark lipstick is a turn off to me. I mean really over done.
I prefer make up hands down but if we in a relationship then it's a different level and then I can see the inner beauty... call me shallow but 10/10 I'll talk to the girl all done up over not, but it's more like a she cares about herself and the way she look thing
Makeup does make you look better yes, the only time I ever said I preferred girls without makeup was at school because they had no idea what subtle meant. They all looked like clowns.
Now I simply respect whatever my partner decides to do. I am aware that blemishes exist and I respect her for who she is.
Wear makeup for YOURSELF and not to impress anyone especially some dude bro who doesn’t understand the first thing about makeup or the time it takes to feel confident and look good.
Well they sure looks nice with make up but its fake I would feel weird if my boyfriend wear make up or have fake stuff on himself to look better, no, I want my guy natural, I some feel guys feel the same way about girls

No.
They prefer women who are stunning without makeup to those who are average without but look stunning with. As you're aware - that doesn't matter.
They prefer girls who aren't obsessed with their looks and makeup and won't leave the house if not given an hour to get their contouring right.
It's a little bit like asking girls if they like it when guys spend 3-4 hours a day working out. They don't, they'd like guys to just work out a few times a week and have perfect muscles.
That's the point though. Most women don't look that stunning without make-up. That's just a fact. Or at least very few. Girls are obsessed because they all want to improve what they have. It is completely unreasonable to expect someone to look a certain way but then not let them put in the work that it takes to do that, and on top of that, call that "obsessed". In order to have nice muscles, a guy *has* to work out a few hours a day. There's nothing wrong with that. In order for me to have what I want, I grant the other person the space, time and energy to do what they need to do to look like that and not criticize them for the effort.
@cherryphi82 if the point is that men and women are a little hypocritical in terms of what they’d like then yes absolutely.
If we’ve moved on to how to respond to that, I think the answer is likely “put in reasonable efforts to look good without imagining that marginal improvements will be life changing”. Most of the benefit can be obtained with a reasonable effort. Women should also not feel like they must be made up 100% of the time.
Right. Reasonable effort. For most people, that works just fine. And then there's others who have to put in more effort to look better. And for those I think it takes more effort and I would rather refrain from judging them, because at least they're making improvements. It's always better to try to improve than to do nothing.
@cherryphi82 TBH there are a few sources of guys complaining about makeup, but I suspect a fairly large one is guys who are below average looking who -wish- there was something they could do to look a lot better.
@cherryphi82 I'm saying of the men who rant about women wearing makeup are ranting because they are -jealous- that average or below average looking women might make themselves look quite attractive with makeup, covering up their imperfections, while they, the men complaining, do not have the same opportunities. This could be more general, or quite specific - for example in this question we see examples of women covering severe acne with makeup. It's not socially acceptable for men to do the same, so a man who feels he's being rejected for his acne may complain about women wearing makeup, because he's envious.
Ok, in the case of acne you may be right. But there are other things you can do, like see a dermatologist and take antibiotics and other medicine that can clear it up. As a man, you have ample opportunities to make yourself attractive to women short of surgery. Eat well, work out, dress well, smell good, nice hairstyle, good manners, etc. These all count for a lot and can make all the difference, even if you have imperfections. With guys, I've noticed it is often the behavior that is at fault and not their looks.
@cherryphi82 While I don't disagree that men can do those things, few of them are as quickly dramatic as makeup. And none of them will deal with some things... for instance I have dark eye circles. They're just not going anywhere, no matter what I do.
Acne can be pretty rough, people with bad cystic acne can use some very potent meds but they literally cause depression and dehydration for 6 months or so.
I think also men, especially younger ones who aren't particularly successful, are hurt by the fact they can look 'okay' to women, but rarely or ever can be 'hot' the way fairly average women can. Fairly average women, in the right makeup and outfit, can have guys drooling over them. I think most men virtually -never- experience that level of being wanted.
Then why do women risk their lives to undergo dangerous surgeries? Don't change the subject now. First, it was about not being able to do anything about how you look and I gave you tons of examples. Working out and eating right are *drastic*! Now we're suddenly talking about success. It's about success. I'll say it one more time: It's about behavior. If you are an self-pitying asshole who feels he deserves a sexually appealing woman but feel like you shouldn't have to do anything to appear interesting in return, yeah, that makes you the culprit.
@cherryphi82 I'm actually not sure what you think the topic is at this point. I thought the topic was primarily 'do men like or not like makeup on women' and from there had perhaps expanded to 'why do some men complain so much about makeup'. You've made the point that men can work out. Women can also workout, and have a drastic impact on their body, like men. Women and men can both improve their clothing and hair. Women and men can both get plastic surgery. Women are almost societally required to wear makeup, and men are societally required -not- to wear makeup. Who wins that one? I don't know. But I can understand how both women who don't want to wear makeup and men who are jealous that they can't improve their looks with makeup would grumble.
Lmfao!!! Such a dramatic comparison... You know that makeup gives you acne? I stopped using any kind of products on my face including soap and it all went away!
Make up doesn't cause acne. It can certainly block your pores and worsen your acne but if you use quality products and cleanse properly, it doesn't. Acne is genetic. Some people can have a very healthy looking skin despite caking on make up and some have the worst acne despite never having used any make up. I had horrible acne in high school even though I hadn't used any make up on my skin. Now that I do use make up, my acne is way better.
Acne is bit genetic or certain races would have 0 acne and I'm pretty sure all races get acne. There are hormones in the food we eat. Milk, beef, cheese, chicken. And when we hit puberty the stuff we put in our bodies reacts with our natural hormones and it caused acne and other imbalances. Acne face wash causes your skin to produce more oils make up clogs your pours. Have you ever looked at someone's scalp? Shampoo actually causes your scalp to dry out. All these products are just lies sold to you to perpetuate problems that make you insecure. And then you buy more and different products to "try something new" but it's all part of the plan
by the way did you ladies ever wonder why men always have longer eye lashes than you? Or why our fingernails are thicker? Because we don't out chemicals on our bodies that destroy them.
No it's genetics. Buddy you gotta shut up or get empirical facts to what you're saying before you make yourself look dumb. My fingernails are much stronger than average because it's genetics, nothing to do with how much I put or don't put chemicals on it.
If I linked you facts would yo even read them? People just like to argue because they want to be right or feel superior. The answers are out there and I'm not going to force you to look at them.
