Girls, Wearing high heels in college?

Is it normal for girls to wear High Heels in college? Heels look painful, how do they walk around Campus in them?

I wore high heels in school with a very short and very tight skirt! We would be made take them off "heels' in some classes. A face full of makeup, hair extensions in and a bag that was useless for school. Who remembers these shoes? These are the ones I wore

They are painful. Excruciatingly so. But it makes us look more professional and attractive. Women in heels are sadly usually taken more seriously.

I last a lot longer than other women, simply because I always walk on my tiptoes. It depends on the shoes. Some are worse than others.

I used to wear them in highschool :) If you wear the right style of heel they are actually comfortable and can be worn all day.

It depends what kind of heels. Platform sneakers or oxfords with one inch heel can look classy. If you mean high heels, who on their right minds would wear stilettos at a 9AM class?
