That's awfully stupid.
High heels aren't exactly made for walking on all day - lol I don't even think they're made to be walked in period :P
Me and my buds, the guys we hung out with, their friends too - cracked jokes about girls who would come to school in heels. We called a corner of the main hallway the " Colfax Corner" because that's where a lot of those girls would congregate at. Oh Colfax is the street where I live that is known for having prostitutes :P
A lot of kids at my school thought it was pretty retarded to be walking around in heels all day, and the girls who did it were trying to hard to be attractive.
It's just impractical to be punishing your ankles like that :P

Um, people are aware that heels do not equal promiscuity or sex right? I mean, generally it's uncommon simply because heels are not exactly the most comfortable thing in the world so no one wants to walk around in them all day, and it is just school, so heels tend to make someone a little overdressed. However, from my experience, girls that wear heels to school are not "trying too hard" it is just their sense of style and what they prefer. One girl I knew who used to wear heels every day actually ended up going to school for fashion design, so the heels really suited her and her personality. Often times this is the case.
i had over 1400 people in my high school. I wore high heeled boots but including me the number of girls who wore heels was about 6. I wore them because I personally liked them. I also wasn't a conformist so I usually went against what the croud was doing. I don't neccessarily suggest them for school though
it's a little overdressed for a high school, but chances are these girls go on dates after class with much older men who pick them up after school, and these guys are only into sex, so they have to look sexy, after all.
The earlier you start to wear high heels, the bigger the chances you'll get issues with your feet when you are 40+. Ask your mother about it.

Many girls wear them at my school (I go to a prep school). I personally think it's over the top. And seriously, who has all that time to get ready for school, because I don't. In other schools, the girls who wear them, are generally "those" type of girls, the really annoying ones who think they are the hottest sh*t out there and tend to be all designer. It's funny, because one of the girls at my school fell down the stairs. I know it's mean, and I do feel sorry for her, but it's also funny. I'm sticking to my Toms.
Why not? They are young women.
What I think would be inappropriate for school is mini skirts, short shorts, a low cut top showing off clevage.
But heels, are just a way of a girl showing off her feminity. I see nothing wrong with that. When I was in high school I wore heels occasionally.. they looked great with my outfit and were comfortable enough.
Though I could care less what men consider "normal" for a girl to wear to school. I liked them so I wore them if you like them do the same.. by the way I love the first link.I'd only wear something like that on a special occasion like a tea party or date.
Heels are not good for your feet and walking around a lot for a good portion of time on them.
If you want to be trendy just get your self some flats or nice sneakers, and hey some flat boots are cute too.
But please don't ruin your feet or ankles, especially at school of all places. Those kind of heels are over the top for school, I'm in high school and I wear heels daily but they are comfortable wedges or thick heels as for if it's "normal" or not I don't think it really matters people can wear whatever they want I don't really care :P
Dang that second link... hideous. I got my "eww" face on right now as we speak. But I suppose anything goes these days. The question should rather have read "High school boys with high heels?". That's more appropriate for life these days. I'm sure you get that. The only place I wear the first pair is in zeee bedroom thank you.
I wear heels to school sometimes, but I'm one of the only ones. Some of the upperclassmen wear them, but it's not common at all at my school. People always ask me why I wear them. I am 5'8" so it's not for height. I wear them because I like the way they look. It's not to make me look sexier or older, I just like them. Ultimately, yes it's uncommon, but if it's what they like to wear, then that's them. It doesn't mean you should wear them or have to wear them!
I used to wear heels to high school all the time and I wear them in Uni now too. It is just my personal style. I don't wear them to impress anyone else, I just like them because I like them. It may or may not be normal depending on the high school. Hardly anyone wore heels at my high school, until I did... then more girls started wearing them as well. Why does it matter what other girls wear on their feet?
well I'm in high school too but girls in my school RARELY wear them, some do,but most girls wear sneakers/boots/flats. I've never worn heels outside the house,i can't walk in them :I
I began wearing 5 inch stiletto heels daily at 13. I wore them everywhere, everyday... even to school. Yes, I got a lot of looks and comments (both good and bad) but I didn't care I loved them. They hurt and were difficult to walk in but I was determined! I fell a couple of times. Fast forward and I'm still a 100% high heel gal. I work in retail and on my feet all day. I wear 5 to 6 inch heels always. I feel sexy in them. I'll never give them up!
I never wore heels in high school. I feel they're more suited to fancy occasions.
My cousin, a junior in high school, wears heels to school almost every day. She likes dressing up.Some girls in my hs do, it's horrible having to wear heels and walk up 4 flights of stairs with my books so I couldn't do it
Keep in mind the girls who are wearing them. What do they look like and what are their personalities like. You can tell a lot about a person but the shoes they're wearing..
Only time I saw girls wear high heels was around Halloween or at my Graduation.
Wow young girls really try way too hard. No wonder pre teens are f***ing. Makes me sick, what our society has become
normal for a couple of girls, but definitely not the majority!
Who cares? Let them ruin their feet...
Seems like they're trying too hard, honestly.
Attentionwhores
Normal at my school.
