I think the entire conception of beauty structured in a social climate of what people believe is ultimately a debate.
Ones preferences to beauty can only be noted truthfully by the person makeing the observation as soon as it becomes any kind of group demographic then you have very opposing views on the concept of beauty.
The fasion world really shouldn't be considered the forefront on the concept of beauty, and to be honest what it was ment to be an artistic platform for clothing.
For some reason it was changed in to a platform for human beauty which in all truth is not something that can be scaled a messured; because we are a world of unique and different body types.
The modelling community only started because the dresiners only had so much money to start with to make one or two dresses which imposed certain fabric restraints due to cost of materials; because of that the thought was to use less, and find some who could at the time fit in to the dam dress so it could be shown on a living person.
Later in history that concept branched from just finding women who could fit in a dress desined on a budget to there being a full blown concept of person fitting the clothing instead of the other way around. Which is why fashin is still considered clothing and the branch section of modelling came in to the spot light.
So in all reality the concept of modelling as of today's stadards came from desperate situations to make a dress on a budget, and find a way to present that dress on a person without the need for additional spending.
So finding someone to fit in the dress was at one point important for the sake of maintaining said budget on the dress.
Which lead in later years to the stigma of beauty that was originated by the fashion industry in it's early days because of the simple need to as I said "maintain a budget".
People think models are beautiful because society gave in to this mentally that the person should fit the dress; because of how much the dress cost instead of asking how can we make the dress fit the person; and exentuate there natural beauty on a budget.
Had the person been picked first, and the dress desined around said person off the bat the stigmas that developed probably would have never been.
It's only now that we are able the see the errors of the fit to dress mentality and how it has skewed social perspective of beauty when it comes to fashion an the modelling industry.
To be honest with you I feel quite bad for models and fashion designers alike.
I mean now they have to conform to antiquted mentalitys of an industry that has such slow policy change do to ignorances formed by the expenses of creating something; instead of being able to easily change from those stigmas out of the fact that the industry as it is altho artistic and should be a form of free creation is everything but free to create due directly to how much money goes in to it.
In other words the sponsor control the industry now, and they want to maintain the status quo; because the money is good even if it hurts social perceptions of beauty by demanding that there be only one form of beauty.
Funny part I think that is going to have to change in the next 10- 20 years; because of social awearness on the matter.
Investors will have to change there strategy, and the industry will have to allow different body types of people to model what's sad is in doing so they will still make a bunch of money, and probably charge more for the brands, and designers making the clothing; that being said however models will probably also be more physically diverse, and have an ablility to ask for more money as well.
So really it's an odd game of cat and mouse in the end anyways.
So do I feel see should be considered a plus size or not?
My answer due to everything I have just mentioned is that it really won't matter either way.
Well hope this answers your question.

That's what she is in terms of modelling, doesn't matter if you think women her size should be labelled as such, the fact is that she fits the modelling criteria for plus size. Modelling has very strict criteria because few people would want to watch ugly people modelling, one of thise criteria is typically a very strict sizing requirement. Typically you must have a certain body type/size/shape in order to qualify to be a model, this is because a models body is what everyone is looking at, plus they likely only have the outfit in one size and it would not look as good on a model that was too big for it.
How the fuck is that plus size? I am like a size 4 us/36 eu and that is how i look llike. she just has wide hips and doesn't look like she is starving. She looks healthy and in good shape unlike the other models.
I don't know I feel like she should have more curves and etc if they gonna label her as plus size but to each it's own. I don't fuck with victoria secret that much anyway. Glad something new is happening though.
Models are skinny. Some women are naturally skinny and tall. Not every thin chick you see is sick. Get over it.

Uh... NO one should be labeled "plus-size" because the term "plus-sized" is fucking stupid. No, you're not "plus-sized"-- you're fat. If you don't want to be fat, then work at it and eat better and sleep better and stop being fat. But calling it something else is just putting lipstick on a pig. It's still a pig.
Anyway, this girl ^ is not plus-sized, or fat. So that's dumb. She is slightly heavier and less attractive than most VS models, but that's a high bar, so I'd call her more normal than VS model-esque.sorry- i'm going to go on a tangent. nothing you've asked is wrong. it's nice vs is "expanding" their sizes. WHAT THE FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK she's got like muscles. woah. the first time a stretch mark will be seen on that stage is in like fucking 300000000000000000000 million years away like COME ON they SELL underwear for bigger girls (who are equally beautiful) and they only advertise for the "pretty" girls. ugh pisses me right off.

watch THAT if you want it from somebody with my body type. and im NOT skinny.I don't think it's VS calling her "plus-sized". I think some random person on the Internet did it... and it stuck. She may be "plus sized" compared to the other Angels... but when compared to average women... I don't think she fits under what we normally think of as "plus-sized".
Lol I see what they are trying to do. Victoria Secrets recently got some rep for saying they don't want to promote any plus size models or plus sized clothes. So some people on the internet got mad and threatened they would boycott them if they didn't. So now Victoria Secrets decided they would promote plus sized models but try and doing it by recreating their own definition of what plus sized is. It's a body image and marketing tactic. That woman is clearly not plus sized, but with the world we live in today I wouldn't be surprised if in 10-20 years this is what people will think plus sized is.
If that's plus sized, I'm 2XMt. Kilamanjaro.
She's fine... she could actually gain a little muscle, IMHO, but she's a beauty and definitely not what I would call "plus sized". Especially since most women in the USA are between sizes 6 and 16. I would call "plus" anything over a 12.If Victoria Secret doesn't want to adhere to the body positivity movement that is their right!! Calling this beauty plus sized is downright insulting and pretty fucking stupid though.. she's a normal sized woman with a cute shape. American Plus size starts at a US 10!!! Which is still kinda small since the average woman here is a 14... 6 plus size? What the entire fuck?
These women are thinner than the average American woman. Americans are the fattest people on earth as a whole. If these women are held up as models for body acceptance then it is a farce-these women are hot and, as i said, thinner than most American women. But they are not truly "plus" size. If you want models that look like "real women" you are going to need obese models. These models depicted above are the Los Angeles definition of plus sized-not that of the rest of America
Its like drinking diet soda with a burger (no bun,) shit ton of fries, and a side of extra ranch dressing.
The thought is there.
Not really fulfilling the goal here though.
She needs some roll and skin bulging cutely out of various places.
Ya know, like a real plus size woman. She just look plus sized because of the comparison! When you compare her to the other Victoria’s secret’s models she will definitely look plus sized in front of them. The same way that an average girl in front of a gorgeous woman will look truly below average. I don’t say that being plus size is ugly and her body is goal, but she’s definitely a plus sized woman COMPARED to the other models
But she's not even that big I'd say she's more slim her hip area is a little wider which gives her a nice shape but hardly anything plus sized that's an exaggeration for sure I feel like people these days throw words around so casually and dont even really understand the meaning. Like gay or hoe or fat or whatever people seriously need to stop that crap I don't know people just I don't know tbh.
Wow. I was a *little* shocked she was one of Victoria’s Secret’s model because I've seen how ultra thin the old ones are, but i love her body though. I now just heard she’s the first “plus sized” one, but what the hell man that ain’t a plus sized chick. If that’s what they think is a plus sized I don't know what i am anymore.
This is why women think they are fat when they are not (plus size) just call it normal Jesus
That's plus sized? Good grief. No wonder so many women are insecure.
Ok, but don't you think it just encourages people to get bigger knowing there is a size bigger. I got into this ever bigger size. So I checked what I was eating and after a time I could get into clothes in the wardrobe I haven't worn for a long time...
This only to apply to whites and people in the modeling industry. I wear a size 9 in jeans and I have a nice hour glass body and I'm very confident. I don't compare myself to others, never did. I don't care about the next bitch but many females cannot relate to that because they're insecure and pathetic.
It's laughable they consider that a "plus size" model.
VS is marketed towards women, and reflects women's ideals of beauty, which is angular and boyish. On the other hand, something like the SI Swimsuit issue is marketed towards men's ideals of female beauty, which is generally much curvier. Think Kate Upton and the like. She is a plus model in the modeling world but to us she's just a normal size.
The modeling world needs to stop with the too skinny models that soak cotton balls in orange juice to fill their stomachs up so they won't be hungry and gain weight.I think it is so damaging to girls psyche when they call women like this plus-size. She's on the small side of normal, and frankly it disgusts me that they call her plus-size like that.
Not sure how that's plus sized. She just has curves. That body looks a lot better than those super skinny models
She’s a beautiful woman and while not the traditional super model size she is not in my opinion a “plus size” model. I think she does the job of presenting the lingerie and looks sexy so I’m all for it.
