It depends on the Tattoo and the girl. It's really different for every person I guess.
I don't mind the tattoos you showed in those photos, those are pretty. I think the woman should get tattoos that compliment her natural beauty, not just get some tattoo for the sake of getting it.
Example of a bad Tattoo is Alizee getting a full length Sailor Moon tattoo on her arm. I think that was a mistake. Gorgeous woman, but a bad tattoo.

This is an interesting discussion. Personally, it's up to the person why they want to seriously cover up their skin with colored ink PERMANENTLY. I think it's as drastic as multiple and sundry piercings and ear plugs. Your choice to paint yourself with certain tats at 20 will likely be wrong for you at 40. Just as all those piercings might be unless you're an independent artist. Clean unblemished human skin is beautiful. Impermanent tattoos with henna or pull on sleeves, collars, seem a playful choice. But being STUCK with a lot of one thing rubs me the wrong way. I have one small tattoo on my lower back that no one can see unless I show them or they shower with me or I'm naked. It has a short motto and symbol that mean something to me. I'm not interested in showing it off as decoration. For others, this is the point. A skin painting declaration of something. I'm not sure why people who don't know you need to know these personal things about you.. But everyone's different. Heavy tattooing on men or women feels offputting to me. Sort of a stay away unless you're willing to accept this. It's very drastic. Not my style.
Assuming tattoo means "tough person" or "i dont give a f" simply put, women like that because evolutionisticly speaking it means a guy who isn't afraid and gets shit done. In todays society that means a good provider. Many women will say its not like that, but for most it will always be on a sub concious lvl. Men however look for a caring woman because evolutionisticly speaking it means shell take good care of his children while he's out hunting and potentially dying and failing at raising his offspring. Furthermore a caring woman means she will not take risks the same way he does further hightening the chances of his offspring beeing raised successfully. In modern society this translates to a trustworthy and loyal companion at least once kids have been made. A woman with a tattoo however translates to "tough person" or "i dont give a f", like i previously mentioned, hence a risk taker. A man is already a risk taker, so why would he seek out another one if his goal is to successfully raise offspring? On the other hand they are a turn on for unserious business for however short period. I can ofc turn into something serious too, but seldom does a man see a woman with tattoos thinking thats the woman of my life... Simply put tattoos are more or less statements that in most societies translates to a type of personality that on our sub concious levels and often concious too fit more with our expectations for one gender than the other, men.

I find nothing appealing about tattoos on women. They aren't always a turn off, but they never increase attractiveness.
The desire to get a tattoo is based on peer or social pressure. The desire to get a tattoo usually comes before any idea of what the tattoo should be. So it's not about how to beautify, it's simply a desire to get some kind of tattoo, any kind of tattoo.
They remind me of a fad, like when it was all the rage in the 1920s for women to pluck their eyebrows entirely and then draw them on. At some point, those fads become dated. I can appreciate changing fashion trends, but fashion trends aren't permanent. People can change their clothing, hair and makeup styles with the evolving times or even from day to day. That is not true with plucked eyebrows, tattoos, ear lobe plugs or radical piercings.
To me, tattoos look like the kind of doodles someone makes in a notebook when they are bored. They are commercial art or graffiti as opposed to fine art. Many look like little more than bumper stickers. The designs aren't even unique or particularly imaginative. A flower, a butterfly, a fairy, a skull, a tribal design - most are chosen from the repertoire of choices in a tattoo artist's handbook. They've all been done before with minor embellishments.
Tattoos make what was once delicate female skin look tough and insensitive. They are like cloths that conceal the skin but can't be removed.
People may or may not find a tattoo attractive, but they will always love the look of bare female skin.
Some small tattoos are fine, but when you go over the top with tats on you boobs, thighs, stomach or ass I think you just shoot down the appeal of these erogenous zones. I don't know if it's just me but I love kissing skin, not the comic strip.

Well, it's all incredibly subjective. It varies greatly from individual to individual. It isn't generalised well. I know many women that don't want to see tattoos on men and same for men with women. I get It. It takes away from the natural body. Tattoos are rather permanent and one requires a minor surgery to have them removed. People simply like/dislike body modification or don't care either way.
I don't think there's an issue with a woman have a tattoo, but it isn't anything that would help promote an interest. It isn't a turn off, but it isn't a turn on. They exist as an art form, self expression and sometimes a statement.

Well, your poll results are currently showing that less than 60% of men really care that much, and in my experience that's probably a pretty accurate percentage.
Personally, I dislike them immensely and they're a turn-off about 99.5% of the time. I don't even think guys should do it but I'm not into guys so it's not really relevant anyway. They're trashy, they rarely actually have any real decent meaning behind them, and most importantly - it takes a certain personality type to permanently alter your body like that, and those people are almost never going to be "my type" that I look for in a romantic partner. The same can be said to an even greater degree about women who get nose, face, or excessive ear piercings.

yep you hit it on spot on. Tattoo's on women (especially visible ones) is huge turn off for me. They send off signals that they are trashy. I get the impression they are more likely going to be promiscuous, into drugs, less responsible and heavy drinkers. They are more likely to make bad mothers. From my POV they will knock down a 9 to 7 a 7 to 5, etc.

Men value purity in their partners more than women do. You can pick it apart and point out how illogical it is all you want: that purity is a "flawed" or "outdated" concept, or that it "has no intrinsic value", and that even if it did, a little bit of ink on your skin would have no effect on it. But it just won't change how we're programmed.

Jealousy is also a mental state, there have been tribes and some still exist to this day where polyamory was practiced because it only makes sense that a child has a higher chance of survival if several people take care of it instead of two, it no longer appliss to modern society but it makes sense for ancient times.

Tattoos historically were always looked at as a more masculine thing, mostly adorning the bodies of ship weary sailors and other military men.
To see them now on females is becoming more common but when overdone is not so attractive to most males I don't think :)

I personally wouldn't say tattoos are complete turn off of me, as long as they don't overdue it. But understand this: men and women are completely different, which means we value different things. So just because a woman finds something attractive, doesn't mean a man does, and vice versa. Attraction is not symmetrical.
Tattoos on men aren't that great either. Any man without muscles does not look good with tattoos to me. Tattoos accentuate and highlight the physical features of a man (primarily his biceps) so him having NO MUSCLES on his arms and tattoos just makes him look... worse.

What i donrt see talking about, is ink it self. In some vierd way, we judge woman more on ink design. So in my opinion its way harder for man to pull of any tattoo. Every tattoo I have holds some significance to me. It's an expression of my inner thoughts, and when someone looks at the ink on my skin, they get to have a little look at what's inside.

I don't know about Western countries, but here in Japan all tattoos are highly frowned upon, regardless of your sex. The only people that get them here are mostly Yakuza and gangs, not good common people. Because tattoos associated with criminal elements most jobs won't hire people with tattoos and many parks, stores, beaches, and restaurants don't allow people with tattoos in for fear they will cause trouble.
Unless the tattoo is something you can relate to for your entire life and will never change no matter what, they are advertising your complacency and lack of foresight
