They're redheads and typically pale because of pheomelanin production rather than melanin. It's what makes your skin dark, or your hair brown. The protein that produces it is mutated in redheads.
There have been studies done on redheads and pain also, pheomelanin increases the sensitivity of pain and pleasure receptors in the brain. Mostly pain has been studied as it is important to doctors performing surgery, redheads need more pain medicine and anesthesia.
Sexually I've found them to be no different than anyone else, except for how the green eyes and red hair turn me on, but that's a me thing.

I deny that I’m a redhead but everyone tells me I am. At most I think I have auburn hair, primarily brown but with a red tint. I’ll answer anyway. I do have loads of freckles, I am probably smarter than most girls of any hair color, I do not have a fiery personality, and I have no idea where I’m from because my dad’s family doesn’t care enough about their ancestry to know and my biological mother was adopted. I can’t stand being called a ginger. If someone calls me a ginger, I automatically hate them. I’m also annoyed by being called a redhead, but less so than the word ginger.
It's funny though because Auburn hair can either look more red or brown depending on the lighting. I'm pretty sure your hair almost go ginger in the sun.
I dated a redhead and she was gorgeous but crazy as shit , for some reason Redheads were put in the category of being psychotic and vicious , the only reason I agreed was because that redhead I dated was very possessive and she chased me with a knife , so when I heard to stay away from redheads I didn’t hesitate lol. I'll speak for my girlfriend since she is a redhead lol she has a little but of freckles but not much unless you actually look for them in the sun, she has darker red hair so usually people wouldn't call her a ginger. She graduated school early and is very smart. We are in the US.
Natural redheads are becoming harder to find. Due to natural red hair not being a dominant trait. So if they happen to have kids with someone who has a natural darker hair color. It is less likely there kids will have red hair also.
Similar to how natural blonde hair is slowly becoming more rare as time passes by.
Brown and black hair are just more dominant traits.
Also similar effect with eye color. As more and more people are being born with brown eyes due to it being a more dominant trait.

Out of their 14 grandchildren only 2 have red hair. All with freckles!! I'm a strawberry blonde, so half red head, half blonde, does that count? Lol I think red hair is gorgeous. The freckles I think are when you have really pale skin. As a kid, I had freckles, but they more went away as I got older.

How "rare" they are depends on your region. Go to Ireland or Scotland, for example...
Here's a little known fact: The original Spaniards predominantly had red hair and green eyes. Moorish settlers made a pretty big dent in the population, to the point where black hair and brown eyes eventually became more common.

B. As far as I know, redhead is caused by a mutation in a gene. And I'm not sure if it's true but redheads doesn't lose pigment in their hair. I have redhead friends and they are all look very cute.

There's at least three red head genes. Mid-eastern, Eastern European & Celtic.
As for red heads. I come from a family of red heads. We're mostly Irish & Scottish yes the typical genepool but there's ethnic groups in the mid east & eastern Europe with red hair that aren't associated.
I have very dark brown hair with a slight tint of red. Half of my family are ginger. We're 100% English as far as I know! They all have freckles too, even the grown-ups lol.
