Getting Tattoos is a coping mechanism for those with trauma related issues... Tattoos are seen as impulsive and makes people feel in control... Tattoos like the ones in the picture identify her story... I don't have any but wouldn't be opposed 🎀

Almost every woman in my peer group has tattoos, but not necessarily the bigger sized ones. It's really hard to tell because most people get those larger ones in places they can hide them, such as on their backs.

I guess that makes you the black sheep of your crowd. Was there any peer pressure to get one? If yes, why do you think you didn't do it?

No, there was never any peer pressure about tattoos. I've noticed that a lot of people have them, but no one has ever suggested that I get one. I've never been interested in them. For one thing, so many people get them that it makes them seem boring and common to me.

I don't know ask her. Different people have different reasons. Most probably she just liked the tattoo, or the tattoo resembles something like a lost loved one. Or just to show off. I don't know different people have different reasons

No, I also think the question applies equally to men. However, as a guy, I'm trying to understand the fairer sex. It's a very permanent decision, sometimes very gaudy, yet they choose to do it, and many times keep on doing it. I would think that an objectivity beautiful woman wouldn't be lacking attention even without the tattoo, so I'm wondering what the motivation would be is all

I think the motive can be like, a story, lots of memories/symbolism goes in tattoos sometimes, and some people would add another part or layer to a tattoo as their life progresses. Some just love the feeling of it, getting the actual tattoo

I would think that if that were a cultural phenomenon that this would be true. Generally, at least in the American culture that I grew up with, I wouldn't think that storytelling would be a motivation for tattoos.
