Thing is obviously if I was 💯 comfortable I wouldn’t ask, I get that.

I WAS comfortable before it shrank. And as if now it’s perfect for yard work then swimming If no one sees me.. but prob not Best outfit for walking through town to mow lawns...

It’s the fact I’m in a rather cloistered rural community atm 😬 and I work for many neighbors, I don’t want to offend anyone. Not that I think it’s offensive. I don’t. But I think some may 🤔🤷‍♀️

But to be serious now, it's a little short to wear as is, I'm pretty sure you but would be visible often. Have you tried to sit down in it? I think when it hikes up from sitting quite a bit would be visible.

I get the reason why you're holding on to it, it's a pretty good looking skirt. But I personally would feel uncomfortable wearing it out and about even with shorts under. Maybe keep it for the fall or spring, wearing it with tights? But unless you're on the beach or at some sort of resort, this wouldn't be something I'd see as appropriate to wear out and about with or without shorts.

for mowing, i'd suggest you wear pants of ssome sort... i've never had a mower chuck anything at me, but it could happen, but... in my line of work, mowing doesn't happen without edging lawns... and weedeaters throw everything in every direction depending on how you like to angle... my legs get hit with a lot of stuff during that process... but if i was you, that wouldn't be a public skirt... fine for swimming or home use
