It can honestly go both ways some guys age like fine wine and just seem to never really look bad even when they are much older. And some guys age very poorly. Same with some women some of them never seem to age visually and others age very poorly.
Lifestyle, nutrition, genetics, etc has a lot to do with it ethnicity as well.
Some races age better then others.
No. Especially western men in their 30s look like my grandpa. Men became bald, wrinkly, unhealthier, fat etc the older they get. At 30 you start getting health issues and it does not matter what gender you have but it is actually bad for men since men hunted in the past and in order to do thst you have to be healthy, fit, etc and so old men become leftovers. So older men are unmasculine according to this logic lol (sarcasm)
No, It is just accepted that men age while it is a taboo when women show a single sign of aging. These people who use this trem just can't accept that 40 years old women dont look like a 18. In my opnion they are pedos too that want grown as women look like a teenie/minor forever
Nah, that's nonsense.
It can vary significantly from person to person.
I always believed that it's a 50/50 for both genders.
• As an example here are two celebrities of both genders that seem to "age like wine" by internet:• And here are two celebrities of both genders that seem to "age like spoiled milk" by internet:
Opinions can vary from person to person as well but I'd pretty much say the percentage of both genders that either or not "age like wine" are really even. 50/50

I mean it's definitely a broad generalization. But I'd say it's generally true in the aggregate.
One of the big things is that women's beauty is generally associated with youth, while men's beauty is more associated with maturity or mechanical capability. In the broadest evolutionary terms, the ideal women is fertile, and the ideal man is time-tested. Though human sexual attraction is much more nuanced than this oversimplification.
Another thing is that while age generally lines up with greater status in primates, the role of sexuality in this ranking is quite different. In patriarchal animals like chimps, the higher social status males generally have higher sexual status and activity. Higher status males get laid more. In matriarchal animals like bonobos, this is roughly inversely true. Younger, lower-ranking females are the most sexually active, while older females essentially swap out a lot of this in exchange for greater power and authority.. Both of these are likely just due to men being able to produce sperm almost indefinitely, while women only produce eggs for a short window. Again, this raw reproduction-oriented narrative is a bit of an oversimplification.
While humans are much more egalitarian, some signs of this pop up. One of which I think we could emphasize more is "matriarchal beauty". That is, I don't find Meryl Streep for instance to be "sexy", but I do think she's beautiful, and its generally in a more mature, authoritative way.
Men's skin actually does age slower than women's. It generally has a thicker outer layer that resists things like radiation. The reason we appear more wrinkly while women appear softer is that women's skin has much more fat content dispersed throughout, while men's skin has relatively low fat content and a lot of connective tissue which makes it rougher and more prone to ridges. If we associate these differences with male/female, we essentially become more "masculine". We become wrinklier and more hairy and such.
But like, humans are a pretty neotenous species, retaining youthful characteristics much longer in life. We're also extremely sexual, much more than is necessary for simple "reproduction". So our sexual attraction serves greater purposes beyond this, and we retain our sexual interest and activity longer.Basically, yeah. It's biology. Women peak at like, age 23 and stop being youthful (and to some men, "attractive" looking) by age 30. While men tend to peak at age 35 and stop being as desirable sometime in their mid 40s. This is also why younger women tend to prefer men 10-15 years older and why mature men tend to prefer women 10-15 years younger.
Of course, it doesn't apply to everyone. My genes are all kinds of f*cked up and I never once had a "golden age." I was "too young" looking at 26 and could pass for 19 and suddenly started to look 40-something at age 27, skipping my "peak years" entirely. My body hates me.In some cases, yeah. As in your example. When Emma Peel was on t. v. in the `60's, nearly ever guy wanted her to bop his baloney! when she got old, she didn't look so hot, anymore! Cigarettes probably contributed to that!
In the meantime, with the exception of slightly sunken eyes, Steed was still very good looking up to the time of his death a few years ago.
Cathy Gale was a hot looking number in the early `60's but, even 20 or 30 years later, she was looking her age!
On the other hand, Dawn Wells hardly looked at all older than when she was Mary Anne, but Ginger turned into an old hag by the time she was about 30 years older! Except for the grey hair and a few wrinkles, Gilligan still looked the same when he died!
Jeanie still looks as hot as she did on her t. v. show and can STILL fit into her costume!!
Samantha hardly aged a single day up to the time of her death. To understand this we need to make a distinction between physical attractiveness and desirability. The physical effects of aging on the faces and bodies of women and men are no different. However, when we factor in the differences in what women are valued for by men versus what men are valued for by women, and what each finds desirable in the other, for women those things decrease with age whereas for men they increase with age. As a result, women's desirability declines from their early 20s onward, and precipitously beyond around age 30. For men, they tend to be less desirable in the 20s but increase in desirability from their late 20s or early 30s until age 50.
I think Women age good and Men too , the thing is if you live a good life , take care of yourself then you don't show your age, I was in the Hospital age 30 and this girl
thought I was younger so that made me feel good, course I never drank , used street drugs but I did smoke which I stopped going on 7 months so it all depends.Men and women both let themselves go.
This sounds horrible, but there's no reason for the majority of both men and women to be fat in their late 20s.
Men probably have more tolerance because they are typically valued in terms of other endowments, such as socio-economic status. Whereas women seem to be singularly valued in terms of their attractiveness or lack or thereof.
In terms of raw physical attractiveness, sadly, there's few that can compete with women in their late teens and early 20s. I know this isn't PC. But women can't have it both ways. Lapping up the attention and getting quite an ego, without expecting a flip side...
I mean just look at what goes on on this website. The way these women act, and men, the 100s of simps they get commenting on one photo, and their egos can be quite something! No, it's really your life style choices. Whether you are a male or female. Maybe genetics it's genetics within the family? But I do think if someone stresses over their job constantly, drinks heavily, does drugs, eats bad food, doesn't exercise, baths in the sun every weekend and doesn't get enough sleep will be the effects of aging. If a woman ages naturally then for the ladies reading this show a sweeter, gentler side to you. I know girls who are younger tend to be more stubborn or aloof about life or that a man's feelings don't account for anything. As we get older our behaviour on the outlook should change in a positive way.
Biologically men have thicker skin than women so their skin doesn’t appear to age as fast or as drastically as women’s skin. Imagine pulling one rubber band until it loses its elasticity vs pulling three at once, the three will last longer than the one. that’s what it’s referring to.
Well, I've heard that men's skin can retain its youth longer than women's.
But a woman who takes good care of her health and skin can look younger, and a man who don't give a shit about these stuff and works hard in the outdoors will look older.
It's not really practical to use celebrity pics for claiming these stuff as they often have various makeup, surgeries and they also change their appearance to suite their projects.
I don't know about all men, but a lot of ordinary men in their daily lives don't give a shit about skincare.- u
I've never heard the expression before, but from comments guys make I hear more often the opposite. My dad went to his 50th high school reunion last year, and came back saying all the girls looked about the same, but all the guys looked like old men.
My mom is pretty well kept too. She's 66, but looks like she's in her 30s.
I don't think gender really has anything to do with it. Some people age well, others don't. It’s 50% / 50% for both genders honestly. I’ve seen women age like wine and men age like wine. I hope I age like fine wine, people say I look 16 and I’m 20 lol some people get offended by it but I kind of like it, until it comes to dating 😭
It depends, I think there are many factors that play into it… Not just gender.
Genetics, skin care, health, diet.. etc.I could see that but I think it also depends on how good you take care of yourself both physically and mentally. I'm 40 and I have guys in their 20s and 30s approach me regularly and sometimes they thought that my daughters and I were sisters. So I really don't feel 40 (Although you could say I felt it on the girls a little while ago).
I think subconsciously attractiveness is fuelled by the desire to procreate and as women lose the ability to have children they loose attractiveness. As men never loose the ability to procreate they are perceived as attractive for longer.
If you take care of yourself, men/women can both age like wine to a extent. Women who have naturally born kids do tend to age worse but good training and eating can revert that to a extent
Well look at it like this
Depends on each individual's genes, lifestyle, diet, health, skincare not their gender
Everyone ages like spoiled milk, because the aging process itself is one of deterioration. There's no escaping that fact, for either men or women.
No. It’s just perception. Women have been trained to perceive “dad bod” as ok whilst men expect perfect young bodies.
As a bisexual woman I'm personally more attracted to older women than older men but I know others disagree with me
