I'd be more concerned with your mobility. If you're teaching younger kids where you have to get down to their level (maybe even sit on the floor with them), a long skirt will make that difficult... slacks would be better.

Skirt is actually great for sitting and moving or bending. It’s not tight like everyone may think. It’s a light fabric that moved around easily. I felt happy with the choice of the skirt, but definitely a different top for tomorrow
