I noticed some controversy and some people think their country is the only one existing in the world.

The point about this topic is to see different opinions from different countries and cultures, hence it's not needed for someone to say they never seen such ones like the pictures and act like the world have the same dress code at schools.

I have Asian origins and in Japan this type of skirts is common in most schools although many girls tend to roll the skirts 1 to 3 rolls up.

Back in my day, I did attend a school which had such uniforms for a couple of years. The general rule was the girls had to have skirts no more than 2 inches above the knee and their shoes were not to be completely covered or shiny enough to reflect their underwear. Of course there were always a few girls who either grew out of them or purposely hiked them up or wore sizes too small.

Us boys had to wear grey pleated trousers with a white button up collared shirt with a brown tie and the shirt had to be tucked in. There was also a straw hat but nobody wore that.

As someone who wore a school uniform, it was mandatory to wear skirts. There was no other option even in winter. There was rules for the length of the skirt. The pleats were not allowed to be altered so most just rolled the skirt up. Some teachers were super strict so you'd pull it down then roll it back up later. My school skirts sat just at my knee normally and I rolled them to mid thigh because I'm short and look weird with skirts that long, I could also easily get away with it because it was only 3 rolls. Some skirts at other schools I've seen are mid shin length or ankle length but generally they're at the knee.

I don't know why you are only showing Japanese school girls.. but usually the skirts are supposed to be a certain length.. but as you can see they probably have them short to fit in with their friends..
I think uniforms are nice and my kids wear uniforms but when they are older they are probably gonna have to wear trousers not skirts lol

No school mandates skirts that short. In general they should be knee length but the girls roll them up. It's the girls choice to wear it so short.
Personally I'd replace them with trousers.
