I actually got one place to change their dress code!
We're up on the 28th floor in a huge completely sealed off room. There's a central column where the stairs and elevators are, other than that, it's basically all one huge room. Part of my job was to move the work around the floor from one area to the next. We were processing tax checks for the IRS. In as such, women could wear short skirts but guys were not allowed to wear shorts. I busted my ass up there running all this stuff all over the floor! I even got the first award handed out by our new boss for the hard work I did up there when he decided to start handing out awards for the work we did. I never expected to get ANY and was the first one on his list!
Well, as you can imagine, with at least 100 people on that floor and no windows that could be opened because they were afraid someone could throw checks out the window to someone below, it got hot up there, for me! Especially with the ceilings being a couple inches above my head! So, I asked one of the supervisors if I could wear shorts. They said, no. I asked her if I could wear a short skirt like the women on the floor. She said, "There's nothing in the dress code that says you can't and, if you do, I'll back you up!". So, the next day, I came in wearing a short black skirt, nothing fancy or flashy, just a plain black skirt, slightly flared. It took about 20:00 but, eventually the bosses told me I couldn't wear it and would have to put pants on. The super still stuck by me, though. However, nearly every woman on that floor, and nearly all of them were black (including the super!); the very people I thought would make fun of it, said that they approved of it and, when I changed into pants, THEY all said it was discrimination and I should fight it and take it to court, or something like that! Tempting idea but, I didn't want to stir shit.
Well, the very next day, HR added to the male dress code that no skirts were allowed!!

there's no dress code. Not saying its right but people judge on your appearance. If two engineers walk into a high profile meeting, one wearing flip flops, sporting a man bun and earrings; the other wearing a jacket, tucked in button down shirt, dress slacks and shined shoes, without knowing their background or experience, who are you more likely to trust to know what they are doing?
You hop on a commercial flight and you see the captain, a female aviator, in a low cut miniskirt dress, would you think they are the pilot?
In some jobs perhaps, appearance matters.

I’m a teacher and the dress code at my school is what could be called “business casual”. No T-shirts unless it’s a special spirit day or your position at the school allows it (gym teacher, for example). No shorts, skirts, or dresses that are more than 2 inches above the knee, no sleeveless tops or tank tops.
The male teachers typically wear golf shirts or button up shirts (some even put on a tie, though it’s not required), and the female teachers typically wear blouses, button up shirts, or tops like in your 3rd and 4th photo.
We’re allowed to wear jeans and sneakers, though. We really just need to remember that we are setting an example for students and we need to look professional and put together. These standards were upheld when we were working from home as well, especially since many parents would also be able to see us on the screen!
Yes. They have the company's shirt for employees and employers to wear. We have to wear normal-colored khakis, blue khakis or black khakis, though I didn't hear one of the managers who were telling me what to wear, say 'black khakis.' I did ask her if I could wear black pants because I've seen the workers there wear black plain pants; she said I can wear them. I don't have black jeans, thank goodness because she said that we can't wear jeans. We can wear whatever shoes, except for slides, crocs, etc. Though I would think if you're working in a space that would most likely have spills or any liquids on the floor, they would have to wear slip-resistance shoes and I have those because I used to work at a fast-food restaurant. To be honest, I kinda miss working there.

Nope, we just have to be nicely put together but I heared that the bosses are thinking about uniforms...
Cute legs.
I was a motor vehicle damage field adjuster/appraiser for 30 years. At first the attire had to be a shirt and tie. But ties got in the way and got dirty. After about five years, the company went with golf shirts that had the logo embroidered on them. We could order five a year for free with a variety of colors to choose from. We could buy more if we wanted to for a very nominal price. They were much more practical than ties.
We could wear any kind of pants, including denim, but not Levis style. Girls would wear pants or skirts. We had to wear decent shoes, not sneakers or running shoes.Business casual. Khaki pants and tucked in colored shirts.
I'd say those skirts are way too short for most professional settings. I'd question what is wrong with woman's common sense and character that she'd even have the desire in her heart to show off that much skin at work and to sexualize the work environment so acutely. Is her character flaw to get male attention and to be "seen" to misguided that she can't even do her job without having to show off her bare legs and tits with little skin tight tops?Actually, you look fantastic in every damn outfit you were wearing. I am pretty sure that you are one of those people that whatever you put on looks great because I think you probably have a fantastic personality and could pull anything off... now that's just my opinion... Keep the faith and be safe...
Well not really but since I have meet powerful clients who are rich business to low grade actors and mid level politicians I have to be a bit professional I can't go in a t shirt and shorts in my office
I need a full sleeves shirt and a jeans at minimum
A tie and a jacket when I am meeting high level peopleWe never had dress codes or uniforms but this news reporter who tells the weather on this one channel located out of Pittsburgh Pa USA wears this short dress and high heels I'm surprised they haven't come down on her cause it doesn't look appropriate after all she is standing in front of millions of people on TV watching
Well all i am allowed to wear at work is a micro skirt, heels, garter and nipples pasties...
And strictly disallowed to wear anything else be it a top or bra or pantiesYeah, I just started working off the farm and got a factory job.
This is what what our uniforms kinda look likeSort of… business casual office work. But they haven’t enforced it since before Covid so most people have slowly changed to casual with jeans.
I like the white lace up shoes (?) in the second picture. No dress code here. Those are some very striking outfits.
We don't have a uniform but we have a certain dress code that we have to adhere to. Like no mini skirts or extra tight pants , capris or tight shirts.. you get my drift
The dress code is: clothes you don't mind getting ruined and clothes that are comfortable. My work clothes consists of overwashed clothes that are ready to be thrown out due to wear and yoga pants.
Been working remote for two years so I could work naked if I so choose, as our Zoom meetings are always audio only.
Before that didn't really have a code - jeans and t were fine. Some places I could wear shorts, though because the AC was cranked because of all the computers it usually wasn't comfortable to do so. One guy used to come in looking like he just got back from the beach. My work uniform was basically colour coded under garments we bought with our own money and an outer covering provided by our employer.
That turtleneck and blazer outfit looks great! I work at a salon and we have a dress code of all black, black leather (vegan leather for vegans) pants and black sweater. Men just wear black t-shirts and black slacks.
These are nice, but damn you show a lot of leg for work. Do you work mostly with women?
Sheesh, you need to stop shopping at the thrift store.
Or at least wear clothes that don't look like they were all you could find fitting in the neighbours trash.
Have some style and self respect.Yes, sadly.
In inpatient i could wear scrubs.
Outpatient, sadly not.I mostly work in a hoodie and sweatpants. I work from home on my pc.
YES, a business suit when im in the office, that is only 3 days a week. if im working from home. i could be anything or nothing..
