Girls, Have you ever noticed someone's panties up their short's leg?

So I'm a boy and wear panties as my main underwear and I noticed these two girls staring at me and looked kind of shocked and grossed out. They were legit in the front of the classroom diagonal to me (which looking back, must have gave them the best possible view up my shorts) and I was in the back and they were straight up turned around and staring at me throughout the lesson. I was wearing some bright colored thong from PINK so if they caught a glimpse of it, they definitely would be able to tell they're panties. Is it likely they saw or am I just paranoid? Should I be more careful about my shorts in the future? It's getting warmer and thongs keep me cool so I'm not going to stop wearing thongs but I'm not sure what to do with this shorts situation, keep my legs closed or find shorts with tighter legs? Also I think sometimes my thongs give panty lines in these shorts, I usually wear the thick cotton logo thongs from VS and PINK and wear shorts from Old Navy. All of this is pretty embarrassing tbh, I just want to wear cute panties and don't want them to be seen!!
