Depends if you have silky straight hair or coily kinky hair. so there is no golden rule and even then it varies based on ones scalps needs e. g. is their scalp dry or greasy which would determine whether their hair needs to be washed more or less.
My hair is coily kinky and I only have to wash my hair once a week to maintain cleanliness. and I remoisturize with products at least twice throughout the week to retain moisture. I understand the need is different from silky straight hair that tends to get greasy very quickly due to how easy it is to get to the roots from the strands.

I wash my hair once a month. Let me explain, my hair his down to my butt in length. It is very thick and course. I would say my hair is 3C in texture. It👏🏽Is👏🏽a👏🏽lot👏🏽of👏🏽work. So once a month throughout the month I take care of it so there is no smell or dirty messes up there. I’ve found this to work for me personally. I find it also helps my hair grow because I’m not bothering it.

Every 2-3 days, but when it's warm weather then nearly daily
Everybody knows human hair has an inbuilt self-cleaning mechanism that regular washing and shampoo destroy. The more you use it the greasier it gets and the sooner. It is also a known fact that if you stop using a shampoo it takes about a month for the self-cleaning to get restored. After that you never get greasy hair. Have you ever seen a chimpanzee or orangutan use shampoo? Or wash daily? Yet their hair is healthy and shiny, just like my hair. No grease. Or dandruff. I do wash it, about once every 2 weeks, sometimes a month apart. I do use shampoo once every 3-4 months, strictly for a few seconds after a haircut.
Shampoo kills organic cells by the way. If you were to place an insect on top of a drop with only its bottom side touching it would die in seconds. What do you think it does when it gets soaked into your scalp and skin? Some of the chemicals have been shown to cross the blood-brain barrier. It's good for ya. I make my own toothpase by the way (and bake my own bread, etc.) Why anyone would consciously choose to harm their own body is beyond me, but then we have smokers and people are into self-harm so nothing surprises me. Using shampoo is mostly cultural conditioning and brainwashing by ads. There's nothing healthy about shampoo and human hair has no need for it any more than the fur of animals that live in the wild and sleep in the dirt. Wash it with water every few days, is where I would draw the limit.
Everything with moderation.I've got long, wavy/loosely curly hair. I wash it every other day, but I rinse and condition everyday. Exceptions if it got dusty at work or if I sweat a lot, I'll wash it even if I washed it the previous day. If I don't at least wet it it turns into a frizzy unmanageable mess.
I was my hair every 2-3 weeks in winter and in summer every 2 weeks, because i am mixed race my hair texture is like a coily big afro type hair texture and my hair looses moisture easily, so I cannot wash it too often cause that dries it out and leads to breakage, I moisturize it with oils and butters frequently though, cause it dries out it's no stranger to drying out.
My hair is usually in braids for a month so once a month. And it’s an Afro so I can’t wash my hair so frequently it gets super dry. 99.9% my hair is in braids so I just wash once a month. With box braids or extensions related braids. If I made braids with only my hair then once in two weeks. But I see my hair shed often when I wash it soo much.
I shower every other day but mostly I just rinse my hair with no shampoo. So no sooner than 2 days but most often once a week. If you research it this is more healthy.
I also use pure coconut oil in my hair. This not only keeps my hair healthy but rinses all the dirt out when I shower in the hot water.Every like two weeks? Listen, my hair probably ain't like yours. I got dreds. Dreds that take a good amount of years to actually get long and keep healthy. So washing them one day out of the week is a waste. They need time to get stronger, so washing them continously will keep them week and leave my hair soft and not dreded up at all.
Sometimes once a week, sometimes twice a week, but the latter in more recent months.
I workout, have long hair and dry shampoo can only be used so much.
Midweek however, I do a co-wash, which is with conditioner only.
The other wash is shampooing twice and then conditioner, as I do put oil in my hair the night before and when I used to shampoo it once, it would still feel a bit greasy.Every Single Day.
Because Florida is the absolute most hot place you’ll ever knowagainst all advice from girlfriends and friends that are girls... I wash it every day
and still looks good, so there... lolNever and always.
I have really short hair, so there's nothing to wash. But it automatically washes when in the shower, if that counts. Hair also annoys me, so I'd be bald if I could rock the look.If I could get away with washing my hair only once a week I would.
But my hair is naturally greasy, no matter how much I try to resist washing, it looks like I haven’t washed my hair for a year if I give it more than one day off.I wash my body multiple times a day and so did hair until I found out that washing the hair is exactly what caused the itching. I can clean it but try to never wash it thoroughly or else It'll itch for days.
I never understood the rule of don’t wash your hair every day it will strip the natural oils. Do we not wash our face or brush our teeth or wash our hands. I was my hair at least every 2 days.
2-3 times a week. For example if I wash it Monday I'll probably wash it again Wednesday. I live in the south so with rain, humidity, plus the heat yeah it's brutal
I'd wash my hair every day if I could but unfortunately my hair is my nemesis and won't cooperate if it's washed more than once a week
I was them every two days but in summer I may wash them everyday because of sweating. I can’t wash them more because I lose hair stressing them too much.
Most showers I take don't include hair wash. My hair feels like a blond straw after washing even with best hair care products. It's softer and easier to handle if it's unwashed.
I don't always make time to wash myself and my hair every time. Showering every day tends to dry out my skin. I don't have long thick hair like I did when I was younger so why bother?
Every day is bad for your hair because it gives you oily roots and brittle ends.
