I don’t see what’s wrong with it. Don’t listen to those who call it “child abuse”. in my opinion piercing babies ears aren’t as much as a big deal as some people try to make it seem. I’ve never heard a woman (I say woman because I’ve never really heard of a man getting pierced as a baby) who got her ears pierced as an infant complain about it as an adult and say they regret their parents did that. Notice how those who speak agaisnt it are usually men and people who never got their ears pierced.

Some people claim that its painful for the child. The lobe is the least painful part of the ear to get pierced since it’s fleshy. It has a pinching feeling for a few seconds. The feeling is similar to getting vaccinated. At that age you also won’t remember the “pain”. Another advantage of piercing a baby is that there is a lower risk of infection, since they can’t reach and touch their ears.

Maybe piercing a baby’s ears are a unnecessary procedure, but it doesn’t harm the child.

I know a few people who have done that and while it does look cute it’s not something I would do. Mainly being for safety reasons, like them accidentally ripping it out and being in unnecessary pain. I think it’s better to wait until they are old enough to understand what it is and if they want it or not.

I dont think so, that seems to me to be a choice for your child to make for themselves (without your interference and influence).

I also have to question what hope there can be for you being a good parent when you consider the human being most important to you in the world to have no say, rights or autonomy and be nothing more than your property or some sort of play thing, fashion or social statement.

So you go make your choices and decide who you are going to be.

So piercing a childs ears mean you won’t be a good parent?

@la-vie-est-bellex Did you see what you did there?

You substituted the word baby for the word child.

Maybe you are used to being able to get away with that sort of shit but it isn't going to work with me.

So if you dont have anything to say and you can't be honest, then just fuck off.

@la-vie-est-bellex Yes, but child is non synonymous with baby as you well know.

Now I gave you an opportunity to recognise your mistake, if it was a mistake but you doubled down, so you are done.

Its not illegal, but its an invasive, hurtfull, practice without consent, and without any medical reason. I would never do it and wait till the kid is old enough.

It is child abuse, anyone who disagrees is fucking stupid, and that’s the end of the story. I’ve never heard a baby ask to have their ears pierced and there is no medical benefit so wtf?

It's okay to cut off the tip of a baby's dick. I suppose holes in the ear shouldn't be an issue.

Not to me. There's no benefit to the baby.
