Does anyone know how a I can treat dry skin?

I know any excessive moisturizing or washing can cause hell to human skin.
For instance, chapstick companies will purposely give it a flavor so you'll lick your lips more, get them drier, and then need more chapstick ($chaching$), and more product gets sold.
I got rid of acne on my face by no longer washing my face. I shower still and all that, I just don't touch my face with much more than the shampoo running down my face from my hair. If I wash my face though... holy shit I break out hard. Put face lotion on, the same result. Dandruff is another example. A lot of people go for some moisturizing product and then wonder why dandruff gets worse while dandruff is almost always an over-mosturized issue.
Use less and less cream! You are training your skin to decrease its natural oils. Use only minimal amounts after showering.
Also leave the Aloe Vera off. Its use is controversial, many are actually allergic against it.
It’s best to use a exfoliating face wash and a gentle cleanser. I use biore exfoliating face wash and cetaphil deep bar soap. Cause it more moisturizing than the gentle one. Also, even though aloe Vera calms down burning and redness. It does have a drying effect. So take it easy on that. This cream I use rarely whenever I have dry patches on my cheeks. A little goes a long way, so give it a try.
This microdermabrasion machine is $30 and has gotten good reviews by customers and I use it myself. Whenever I get dry skin
1. Wash your face with a hydrating cleanser. Something like this :
2. Apply a hydrating toner.
3. While your face is still wet apply this
4. Follow with moisturizer.
You can also get this cream called aquaous bp which you can slather on at night before bed (it thick so takes a while to soak in) I use it for my dermititis and it's a life saver.

Best tho g for you to do is go see a dermatologist. Using face washes and all that may work for others but not always certain it’ll work for you so go see a dermatologist before wasting money on all sorts of products
Almond oil
NOW nutrition has some unscented that I use
Also olive oil if you are going to be home all day but can leave a scent if not washed off during the summer or if heat.
You’ll never buy lotion again
How dry does your skin look? My hands' skin are VERY dry and I needed to visit the dermatologist to get treatment and I received a Diprosalic cream to get it better... Maybe you should visit a dermatologist as well for his advice.
Drink a lot more water. Dry skin is an indication of dehydration. Just as chapped lips is. You win’t need to slather all the crap suggested if you keep hydrated.
Try not to take hot showers. It dries out your skin.
There are many different types of skins and lotions do not come in one size fits all. Speak to a dermatologist who can recommend lotions that will both suit your skin type and the environment you work in.
Exfoliate. I found a mix of coconut oil and brown sugar works great and then use vaseline cream (comes in a yellow bottle).
Book an appointment with a dermatologist.
They are likely best placed to offer advice. There are a number of products but some can cause spots due to blocking pores or excessively oily etc.
This might seem basic but just soak a small towel with warm water and place it over the affected area. Good ole fashioned h20 can work wonders
