Growing up in the 70's, it seemed there was a L'eggs commercial every ten minutes advertising pantyhose. Every drug store you went in had a standup display next to the register with lots of those plastic eggs! Heck, even Star Quarter Back Joe Namath was advertising for them. I've read that with self tanners that women do not need to use pantyhose to hide un tanned skin, but is that one of the reasons or do women think they are just too cumbersome to keep up with?
