Why do people feel the need to criticize girls outfit all the time?

Wherever you look there'll be someone criticizing something I don't care what it is, brad pitt, me, you, your outfit, bill's belly fat, there is always someone criticizing something (Myself included, most likely you as well on certain things) that's how it is, girls' outfits is just one of the many too abundant categories of criticization

Well I was just wondering if other men actually criticize women about what they wear. Especially a young woman like you must look great no matter what you put on. Women's fashion seems to be so much more complex so I think you should probably wear whatever makes you feel comfortable regardless of what other men say because if they are immature enough to criticize you they're not worth your attention anyways

As others have alluded to, already. People are usually triggered by jealousy and hate. In this case they are probably jealous of something about the woman's person, they can only think to nitpick her clothing. Maybe she weighs less then them? Had a compliment from higher-ups? Something else has to be at play here.

I can’t say that I’ve experienced this as a man. Nobody really criticizes me for wearing a small shirt or anything. Guys can get away with no shirt at all. I think women definitely get criticism all the time for hire they dress. Why? I honestly don’t know. Gender stereotyping maybe?

People who criticize others are most often jealous... that someone else has something they don't, or that the someone looks better than they do. It's usually important to listen to criticism, because it can sometimes be helpful, but don't take every criticism personally.

It is really sad! I think part of it too is people verbally processing their stress and it becoming gossip. I know that is often an issue in my family. But for that I will never feel comfortable bringing a girl home to meet everyone.
