What kind of prejudice is this that all Russian women are blonde? Ukrainian women tend to be blonde not Russian women.. Russian women may be blonde only if they are from the North. Anyway, yes I am brunette with hazel eyes and dark brown eyebrows but does it mean I am less of a Russian? I have this blood in my bloodline this can't change that. And if you see many of Russian TV series you can clearly see most are Brunette with white pale skin.
You said it, it's a prejudice, or better a stereotype.
There's a full Russian woman that I know that looks like she's Chinese, or Korean, and yet she was born in St. Petersburg. It's kind of funny to hear she talking sometimes because despite being in my country for years, she never bothered to learn well the language.
So when she says she wants a ride somewhere, she says "I like car go to place" or when I drop her off "Thank you. I like alone now" meaning she can go on foot from that point on.

I've been in Greece for 5 times and I met some, I can say you just look like a Greek not even %1 Russian.

I thought only Czech/Ukraine/Polish/east European women were blonde and all "true" Russians had dark or black hair? I thought blonde Russians were the "fake" ones?
Anyway, I doubt anyone cares. I do know Greek and Russian men hate tall women, though! So as long as you aren't tall - or Russian born - a girl should be fine over in the weird (weirder) part of Europe.
I do not understand the question or problem but I have never been to Greece or Russia so maybe I am missing something? First, I do not think of Russian women as blonde, at all. That is the last hair color I would picture for a Russian woman actually. Second, why does it matter if somebody isn't sure you are half Russian, how does it even come up in conversation lol.
Wow! That explains why you're so cool... You're not "Western." 😆
I have some Russian female friends and I'd say in numbers it's a tie between blondes and brunettes. One of them even looks kinda like you, she's half Russian and half Latvian.
Greeks are, speaking on behalf of someone who grew up around them, a shockingly clannish and insular group of people.
If you ain't in the tribe, you'll only get so far with Greeks. Stereotyping and general distrust of outsiders is not out of the question for Greeks.
And before anyone says "yeah, but that's all groups of people;" there's definitely a special case study for that sort of behavior among the Greeks.
Because they are clueless? They like the easy way out which is to assume? But, perhaps their experience is that all Russians are blonde? Not saying that's an excuse, but if it's all they know (or watch on porn).
And, no, you are not "less Russian". BUT, my friend, you own that. :) You are who you are, regardless of whether people make assumptions about it or don't acknowledge it. :)
I knew a girl whose mom was half Mexican and part Native Cherokee and she had light blonde hair because her dad was a full-blooded Swede! You'd think that the black hair gene would overpower the blonde, but nope!
People just don't understand that genes will work how they want. Not all Russians are going to be blonde, but then again, they do tend to have lighter hair, blonde or not. The really dark hair might come from your Greek side, but I could be wrong.
Honestly, I always thought Russians and Ukrainian people were blonde. Then I saw Alsou and then I saw a lot of Russian and Ukrainian singers on YouTube and realized they look just like some Middle Eastern people with tanned bodies 🤣. Though I think it is alright, don't get mad at them for there ignorance

I actually know of someone living somewhere in which this was the opposite... Russian people saw each other as such because of brown hair, blond people were seen as clearly not Russian
so yes, I guess stereotypes and discrimination varies per region " half " is the key word here... If you were full Russian maybe you would have been blonde... This reminds me when I explain to people online that I'm actually African Lol...
I guess people in Greece think that all people in the north are blond.
As almost all Greeks have dark hair and eyes, then in the north they have to be opposite.
Tell your boss that you are Russian and if she doesn’t believe you, that you can get copy of your birth certificate and confirm it.
Since Russia is the largest country in the world, there is no „the“ Russian phenotype. Try comparing local people from all the corners of Russia, they couldn’t look more different.
Japanese have a stereotype that most americans are blond-haired and blue eyed, as you can see in the Mukokuseki trope, it stereotypes from countries that barely have anyone blond.
I can’t imagine worrying about the opinion of Greeks you don’t know.
Ignorance. My best friends whole family is brunette save for his cousin:/
Every Russian woman I've met has had dark brown hair.
Just ignorant I guess, many brunettes in Russia besides blondes
Most Russians aren’t blonde tho lmao Ukrainians are more blonde
slava ukraini 🫡
When I see blonde I tend to assume They are either Russians or swedish
I suppose there is a connection between being blonde and slavic?
