It does happen once in awhile, but it is almost always women over 50. Last time was last weekend, older lady probably 60 or 65.

Well, I cannot share the actual reason because it is very personal. However, me giving a deaf ear is still much better than telling the other person (who is complementing) to stop. That is just rude

Hence I decided that nobody will hurt, nobody feelings are hurt if I just give a deaf ear to compliments.

There is an experience related to this also. Of course people can and they still do compliment me and they are free to do so but I give a deaf ear to it.

No, that’s very weird. In all honesty it just sounds like you never got a compliment on your looks by a stranger before. Which you should have just said.

I haven’t seen any strangers today but it’s pretty regular that I get compliments. I think where you live makes has more to do with it than what you look like.
