Why does it seem like boxer briefs are the only type of underwear that women like men to wear?

It seems women have so much variety with undies that men like. But with men it’s either boxer briefs or there is something wrong with you. Is there any evidence and reason for this lack of variety?

I wear briefs pretty much exclusively. While I've gotten a few comments from past partners about it they all seemed to at least appreciate the novelty of it vs the same old hanes boxer briefs everyone wears, and I've never gotten weird looks in locker rooms that I can remember.

As is always the case with clothing, women have infinitely more options to chose from.

But anyway, its because briefs are gross and hideous.

Boxers are nice for the most part.

But women love the boxer briefs because of how they shape that area. Generally speaking of course.

That’s what confuses me. The old baggy white stiff fabric whitey tighteys are gross and ridiculous but there are modern briefs that are much more sleek with quality fabric. What I’ve noticed is boxer briefs shape the area the same way. The only difference is you have extra fabric on the thighs and hamstrings. Unless people ONLY think of the saggy old whitey tighteys when they think of briefs.

This is what I heard, since as kids we grew up in tighty whites women want a different look. And our crotch is big with small tight underwear like briefs looks bad (I don’t know the exact word reason). It’s like a 300 lb guy wearing booty shorts. Boxers solve these problems. Boxer briefs are tight but not too tight, showing off the crotch/butt but cover enough to have everything hanging out.

Me personlly I like wearing briefs, it give great support when needed, but I wear boxers when I am just chilling and doing anything.

I pretty much only wear briefs because they are most comfortable to me. My fiancée is cool with it, never any comments from previous girlfriends

Women like it because it's masculine and doesn't show all the junk unlike briefs. It's probably better for a guy's goodies too since boxers let them breathe.

I wear both boxers and briefs. I have found that women prefer boxers... they're easier to take off.

I wouldn’t say that checks out. I know many women that wear, cheeky, bikinis, boy shorts, Rio cut and even boxers too and many guys like those options. Some even prefer them.

My point is, the thong is the most common of the many, and most men would say "thong", to the same question (what do you like to see on a woman, underwear wise)
