mall these girls and younger women are tucking in their shirts nowadays. Nobody did that in the late 2000s, early 2010s. What the hell is this, the 90s?
I just don’t get the mom jeans all these ladies are wearing. I like fashion from the 80s better. Girls why are you trying to bring the 90s back?

Personal taste and trends? Personally I wear crop tops because I like the way they look on me and break up my torso. I tuck in my shirts for a similar reason: it draws a line higher on the body to show more pant (which basically makes you look taller/balance out your proportions if you have a longer torso). I'm not sure I have anything that's explicitly a mom jean, but i do have a pair or two or looser jeans. I just wear them because they fit well and match certain aesthetics I want.
But actually yes, the 90s/early 2000s are making their scheduled comeback. Though I've read that the 80s had a strong influence this year as well.
Oh god it is coming back! It’s 2023 not 1999 or 2001! Those years are GONE! Why can’t the fashion industry come up with something new and stop copying the millennials, and older generations fashion? A lot of my girlfriends tuck in their shirts and they said it’s the latest trend and nobody wears crap from the 2010s anymore. One said she’s glad skinny jeans are out. My mom said people back in the 90s wore something simpler like the teens do today but it’s nothing like the real 90s. So we did streak their trends. Im sicking with 2010s style.
I mean partly fashion gets recycled because clothing isn't actually all that complicated. There are only so many design choices you can actually make. Part of it also has to do with the trends that the current designers grew up with/were influenced by and enjoy. I'd say pop culture, social media, etc tend to structure the specific short term trends we experience.

Okay that’s cool. It feels like the 90s even though I didn’t exist. I miss the late 2000s and 2010s outfits. Now it’s all 90s. Tucked in shirts are ugly. I don’t know why people are doing it now a days.
