There was a ring that i bought as a teen and i found it very special. It was made for a guy and too big for a girls finger. I made it my mission to give it to the guy I’d end up in a serious longterm relationship with. My friend guy always tried to sneak and wear it but i’d tell him it wasn't meant for him and he couldnt accept that. I finally end up dating this one dude and i give him the ring. He loves it and finds it cool. He wears it but loses it the same day…. Deep down i was so pissed

I don't buy jewellery but when I was a kid my mom and extended family would gift me sacred things like glass horses, crystal statues, cheap gemstones, limited edition stamps etc... I have no idea where those things are now and I suspect some of it might have been gifted to others. I do have one necklace I bought but it was a donation based purchase and that is the only necklace I remember buying that was over $20.
