Of course, this works best with shirts made of cotton without polyester.
I have shirts from bands or games that no longer fit me. Some are really retro and just look cool. Firstly, I don't really want to throw anything away - the throwaway society is simply repulsive. Secondly, I don't like to part with things I love and I may associate special memories with shirts from festivals.
So far, I've come up with the idea of taking a cotton cushion cover and sewing the motif from the shirt onto the cushion. Of course, I wash the cover beforehand so that it doesn't shrink and create ugly creases later on.
This is also a nice gift for loved ones if they receive a personalized cushion from their band or a PC game. A friend of mine sews old band shirts onto denim jackets.
Does anyone have any nice ideas for what I can do with old, nice shirts?
Thanks!
