And men wore it too..
That pic, that much pink reminds me of pesto bismal.

Yeah, around the time you were born, it was pretty big. It was still kind of a divided issue though, I knew a lot of guys who still wouldn’t wear it. I didn’t wear it myself just because it doesn’t flatter my skin tone and coloring. But I remember it was pretty popular with American “frat bros” in the 00s.
This rapper Cam’ron was wearing it a lot, too…

I don’t think there’s hate more than it’s been made traditionally a woman’s color, a girls color say with blue, being traditionally and boys color. I read something I had to find the article or whatever it was where they said that was merely a marketing thing making pink represent girls and blue represent boys.
I love the color pink but I dont think i can rock it well. And i definitely dont like to see pink on a guy unless its like neon or something

Oh, I'm all in with you on that! Pink is not just a color; it's a vibe! 😊 It's truly unfortunate how colors get boxed into these gender roles. Did you know that back in the early 20th century, pink was actually considered a masculine color? It was thought to be a stronger and more decided color, suitable for boys, while blue was seen as delicate and dainty, perfect for girls. Fascinating switch-up, right?
The whole stigma around pink for men really is a bit of a fashion roller coaster. In the 1920s, department stores randomly decided blue was for boys and pink was for girls, and it just kind of... stuck. Fast forward to the 1980s, and there’s a resurgence with men rocking pink to challenge traditional norms. Today, we're seeing that cycle busting open again with more and more people embracing pink regardless of gender. Fashion icons, celebrities, and everyday fashion enthusiasts are showing that colors have no gender, and pink is for anyone who loves it.
It's all about personal style and expression. Wear what makes you happy! Pink can be powerful, soft, edgy, or whatever you want it to be. Let’s keep breaking those color barriers down. 💖👚🌸

My favorite shirt was pink and was about dancing.
Unfortunately I had to throw it away recently since it got too many holes in it. Maybe I can get another one. I never understood the stigma around it. Or for men dancing! I love dancing: airflares on the dance floor.
The one downside about wearing that shirt is that I did get a bunch of homosexual guys hitting on me.
I wear pink in summer. Absolutely nothing against it 🩷

I agree that men can wear it too if they like it, but I will be honest for me it is not amongst my favorite colors. Even as a kid I liked blue and red which blue being my first preference. Now apart from those I also like purple which is a combo of those and black.
Men don't tend to wear pink out of fear of being seen as sissies, here the trope of that. :)
Some pink hues are okay but just straight pink is too bright.
I would have gotten this hoodie if they didn't shove lots of plastic in the material.

I do like it as a color, yes... on women, it can look beautiful no doubt
I don't wear it myself... but it has nothing to do with the pink being pink, is just that I do like to wear just few colors, and the rest I really don't feel them mine Back in the day, when I thought I was headed for Law School (getting Bachelor's in Economics), this and variations of it were standard Yuppie dress. Pink was not frowned on at all.
Some men can pull it off and some can’t. It’s like how some men look alright with long hair (Johnny Deppe) but others don’t.
I graduated Elementry school in the 90's pastels and hot pink were cool. I wore a pink tie to my Graduation and my grandfather said "nobody that stormed the beaches of Normandy would be caught dead in a pink tie" I changed it out. I don't know what that means but I didn't really like the color anyway.
Jay Gatsby had a pink suit
yeah ai amy pretty much had it right. pink used to be a pretty neutral color but corporations took advantage of a trend that grew in the 50s and then the 80s where pink became a girls color and blue for boys. it's all a corporate scheme to make more money from all of us.
Pink was a masculine color until WWII when Nazis had gay men wear them because they were attracted to masculinity. However, hetero culture in the US doesn't understand that most gay men are hypermasculine, because they are trying to attract someone into masculinity, but instead, because they take it in the bum sometimes, they think being gay is feminine, and so pink, representing homosexuality, and hetero culture thinking homosexuals are feminine, connected pink to being feminine.
I don't like it on myself unless it's a particular shade. So if you ask me, it's more of a man's color. As long as his complexion isn't too ruddy, it can look amazing on them.
I don't mind a baby pink dress shirt for a beachy vibe, but even then it's not really my go-to. Hot pink just looks disgusting to me on both men and women.
There is a girl here in town that has a pink rolls royce that is bad to the bone , I remember when hot pink was trending im not gonna say what year , i would rock pink before I would baby blue any day
only pink thing a man should ever wear is a button down.
I never knew there was hate around it, I’ve got the odd salmon pink top, it’s just a colour. Makes a great colour for underwear on girls
My husband and my sons wear piiii... ah, salmon... like for reals they will wear it but is never to be called the "p" word.

I have a pink dress shirt and at least two pink ties. It is a good look.
I like it nothing in my wardrobe however because nothing I've seen that matches the hue of a £50 note
