I would suggest getting regular trims it will help maintain a more uniform length as ur hair grows out, cutting longer ones so the shorter ones could catch to em
use salt free/alcohol free pomade, gel n mousse to manipulate ur hair n blend the uneven lengths
u could use hair clips to pin back the uneven sections
also avoid using excessive heat or harsh chemicals or it would damage the hair follicles thus it won't grow out fast

go to barber and ask for a close cropped 3 guard on the clippers and do the entire head. Easy to take care of, cooler for the upcoming summer. Can go months before another cut
