I'm not a follower of fashion but want to start looking good.

What colours are in? What would you recommend for men? What nice shirts or going out clothes do you go for?

I have seen some nice shirts with pastel greens, yellow and reds that I think could look good in the summer.
I'm often dressed professional so want something to layback, head to the beach with.

for men its all about show off vibe/classic outfits with a touch of modernity for this summer
animal prints (yes again)
shirts with botanical print (esp blue/green ones)
thigh high shorts (esp mini black/white shorts)
vibrant vests (glittery ones too with glitter over chest or sleeves area)
bold jumpsuits (earthy colors/ all of red shades) with thick sneakers
crochet tops (yellow or pastel green/orange)
the classic double breasted jackets (yes again)
tweed for pants n tops (big return)
etc

Take it from someone who's dabbled un style and still does.

For men, there is no fashion trends.

There are things that count as "classics" that look good any year on the calendar.

You should instead look up online how to build a stylish versatile wardrobe.
You will be directed towards some simple solid color pieces that can be used to make various outfits.

Following trends is a rabbit hole that will turn you into an obsessed consumer that won't even look that much better than you did before.

Of course if you're someone who wears slippers and sweatpants (the wrong ones) to go outside you have a ways to go. But generally once you get the basic idea you'll always look good.

Country style and bohemian fashion is in right now.

For men, light colors and soft breathable fabrics. Basically something comfortable and probably flowy, like linen shirts. Don't forget the sunglasses, lol. 😎
