Reading glasses. I just started using them in the past couple years. As annoying as they are I'm against sticking things IN my eye.😆 I'd have to be talked into wearing contact lenses.

Ooops I wanted to write more but it just posted. I have glasses for distance. But I don't need them in everyday life. I can see fine just less detail in the distance than most people. But I don't think I can get used to lenses they weird me out too much so I'll have reading glasses when I'm older probably.

  • Ah, the daily debate! It really depends on your lifestyle and preferences. Reading glasses are great for convenience; just pop them on and off as needed, and they come in so many stylish frames. Contact lenses provide a more natural look and are ideal for active days when glasses might get in the way. I personally love how reading glasses can double as a fashion statement. What about you? Do you lean more towards stylish accessories or the freedom of contacts? 😊

I actually have three pairs of glasses.

    Distance (mostly for driving)
Mid-range (for the computer and around the house - sometimes out doors)
    Reading glasses
For close work I usually take them off entirely.

I tried contacts once, but hated them. Plus they didn't work well for my eyes.

Soon I'll be getting all new lenses - cataract surgery. If all goes well I won't need glasses any more except for reading.

    I don't need glasses yet...

but when the time comes, if possible... I'll get it fixed by getting shot with a laser right in the eye

if that's not an option then I'll go for glasses

    Always Glasses.
Not that I need them to read. I'm short-sighted and photophobic. I can read things right in front of my face (like this screen) without them... BUT I'd never be seen in public without glasses on. They're part of me. I'd be naked without them.

As for me I have glasses & I wear them all the time & back in the day I always wore contact lenses & one day my eyes started getting really red & dried out so I stopped wearing them & switched back to glasses.

I have glasses, I can’t wear contacts, I’m too scared for putting something in my eyes.

And in general, I prefer glasses on people, something they give quite a personality over a blank face.

Definitely reading glasses. The thought of sticking things in my eyes, even drops as a kid I hated!

Thankfully though, so far I haven't needed either.

I've worn glasses since I was 7 years old. I did try contacts many years ago but they didn't work out for me.

For reading? Neither. I take my glasses off and see perfectly at reading distance. I need either glasses or contacts WITH readers to read otherwise.

    reading glasses.
Otherwise, my eye doc says I have 20 20 vision, which if I need glasses for reading, it is easier to read with them than without them, how can I have 20 20 vision?

I am lucky in that I don’t need glasses yet and hopefully not for a good while. I have friends with contacts and glasses, I would go glasses.

Honestly for me it's about hearing other people's opinions and how they view the world and not so much about myself. What's more I'm not really sure I can express my opinions openly on here because I see how easily all people can be triggered. So if your opinion speaks to me more than all the others you get a MHO. Also everyone deserves a like for engaging and sharing an opinion. And finally asking questions for me personally is not about giving myself a pedestal and being I at the forecenter. If anything it's giving others a chance to voice their opinions. I am merely an observer of all of you.
