I normally wear contacts, but my prescription expired and I haven't had the chance to get it updated, so in the meantime I got my glasses prescription updated and have been wearing them.

I have glasses and have never tried contacts. I'm sure the contacts are more convenient in some ways, and better for those that feel less attractive wearing glasses. Personally, I have a hard enough time just putting on eyeliner, so putting something into my eye sounds pretty torturous. Even worse when I have to take them in/out at least twice a day. I hope to just get laser eye surgery and do away with prescriptions altogether very soon.
In the meantime, I've always liked hiking, and my glasses have saved me from taking a tree branch to the eyes from my obliviously trailblazing friends a few times, so I've learned to be somewhat thankful for my glasses.
Just got daily wear contacts. Love them, very comfortable.
