Do you think it is wrong to allow a person under the age of 18 to get surgery entirely because of beautifying reasons?

Happiness is the number one thing normal parents and normal people want for their children.

Being insecure about your physical appearance can obviously make a person of any age feel unhappy. There has also probably been many stories of people being picked on at school or online because of the way they look which can definitely add to a persons misery. It is normal for a person to have feelings.

Anyway it’s probably safer for a person aged 18 or more to get surgery for cosmetic reasons because physically they have likely stopped growing.

What is your opinion about people under the age of 18 getting surgery for beautifying reasons?

Do you think it should be allowed or do you think they should put up with the feeling of being insecure and unhappy for a couple of years and wait till they are at least 18 years old?

. My son was 16 and he came to me and he said Dad I want to get a tattoo and I told him no problem he said really I can get a tattoo and I said yeah no problem when you turn 18 you can do anything you want but not until then.
. he's 24 now. And . He's a fireman paramedic and last year he came to me and said that do you remember when I was 16 and I wanted a tattoo and I said yep he said thank God you did not let me get one he was I wouldn't want a tattoo and I said yeah I knew that...

And that's why I told you you had to wait until you're 18.

Are we talking like plastic surgery? For someone in their teens? Yes, it's wrong. Wait until they're 18 to choose if they want to have such surgeries. You shouldn't teach someone to change themselves to avoid being bullied... that's a poor life lesson. If they're self conscious as a result of being bullied, bring them to a therapist and also LOVE YOUR CHILD. Teach them that they are lovable just as they are. I mean, come on.
