7 moI think the hispanic athletic woman with natural muscles and curves is becoming the new ideal women you see on social media. Because if you are too skinny, you will either get sexualized or vilified by jealous women who view you as a rival. And if you are too big, you will get attacked and vilified by men who want to blame you for not being a form of visual entertainment for them or by thinner women who want to feel superior by putting somebody else down.
A guy told me it is never the very good looking people who put others down for their appearance, it is always those who are in the normal range of looks. Very attractive people do not have the insecurities and low self esteem that makes them need to put larger people down for their looks.
Just like I have never seen a very intelligent person mock somebody else for being dumb. It is always the college drop outs or community college students that mock others for being dumb. PhD students are not insecure about their social status or successes in life and do not need to waste their energy mocking those who have achieved less than them to feel confident about who they are as people.

7 moBeauty trends go back and forth. We are moving from curvy toned bodies towards the anorexic ones (from 2000s) as we speak. Maybe in ten years, it'll shift again.
I believe natural beauty is becoming more popular, along with the more conservative cultural shifts. For example , if people are getting veneers, I think they'll add a bit of character to them, rather than every set of teeth looking similar. Cosmetic surgeries will still happen, but people will aim for a more unique look, avoiding the phenomena of the IPhone face.
Those are my predictions, entirely subjective.00 Reply
7 moI think we are going to have to close our eyes and feel what each other look like with our hearts. I think stuff like makeup and pretending, trying to be better then the next person, and alpha male or always perfect is going to be seen more as it is; rather then the armor we hide behind and call sexy.
I also think I have my head in the clouds. But let me dream 😉00 Reply
7 moIt seems like the standards have more been piling on top of one another.. But they will be whatever gets the beauty industry more money.. Since they really set the standard.. So, I don't think they'll change drastically from how they are now.. 2025 just seems like an evolution from 2015..

Beauty standards are always evolving. In ten years, individuality and self-expression might take center stage. Authenticity could be celebrated more than uniformity, with diverse body types, skin tones, and unique features being embraced. Sustainable and eco-friendly beauty products will likely be in demand. Innovation in technology might bring personalized beauty solutions to cater to different needs. Let's look forward to a more inclusive and environmentally conscious future in beauty. 🌟

I keep hoping that natural beauty will one day be the beauty standard again. Natural beauty has never been out of fashion but I wouldn't call it a beauty standard atm. We always see teenage girls obsessing over Kylie Jenner or Sabrina Carpenter or girls who had a bunch of procedures done and wear heavy make up. I'd really like to see something more simple and elegant.
Anonymous(18-24)7 moGirls look the same now as they did 10 years ago and 20 years ago but if you watch something like Friends, girls looked really different in the 90s and also every decade before that had a different look that you can tell instantly.

Very true. Different makeup techniques and beauty standards. In the past being slim was the goal while nowadays thick bodies are more popular. Makeup is way more exaggerated nowadays than it was back then.
927 opinions shared on Fashion & Beauty topic. the same mostly but more toxic. as we get even more chronically online, and ai gets better, filters get better, the bar will get higher and higher for beauty. though i think the general aesthetics will be more traditional, eurocentric and conservative than now

Maybe it's hard but a plastic doll is a no no for me!
- 7 mo
I appreciate you sticking to that.
- 7 mo
You have to know that the majority of women are deceived by these plastic surgeries, i'm not saying that a woman shouldn't do anything, i mean having your nose or teeth fixed are acceptable as long as you keep your original facial features and not turning into someone else!
I kiss seeing women in their unique features and not all looking the same, i'm a man who is attracted to a woman's natural looks, being special makes you special but when you want to turn yourself like others than you won'y be this special anymore, you might tell me but guys are attracted to them, well yes attracted to them just for sex, so the question is: do you want to be only a sex doll or a complete unique woman?

Anonymous(30-35)7 moI have no clue. It's important to note that evolving beauty standards for women are driven by women, not men. Men have always found the same things beautiful. We adapt as women change their beauty standards, but only because women force us to.
