Why has it become so difficult nowadays to find modest, non-revealing, and practical everyday clothing?

I went to five different stores looking for a simple and elegant dress, but almost every style I found was either too short or overly revealing. I'm not even going to mention the fabric quality. Why has it become so difficult to find clothing that is well-made, practical, and suitable for everyday wear?

Fashion changes so quickly any more and hardly any clothing is made here at home and all comes from places using cheap materials and so on. My mother made most all of the dresses my older sisters ever had and the few I had as a little girl. I can't remember the last time I had a dress on and I know there are none in my closet.

I have them too, and the fabrics are terrible; we can't find a decent piece of fabric. Out of 10 t-shirts, only 1 has decent fabric. They fall apart after only four wears.

Because sex sells, and the overwhelming amount of women prefer to dress with clothes like that. Despite many of them not wanting to be “treated like sex objects” when in reality, they only have that response when a man they aren’t interested in approaches them. When it’s a man they actually like, their reaction is COMPLETELY different

There's so much choice, I don't think it's difficult to find your style. Quality is a different story, a lot of the fast fashion stuff is low quality.
