Is women clothing getting smaller nowadays?

I haven't been shopping for new clothes since early spring and since its summer now I need newer clothes. I went shopping for shorts recently and could not find my size at all especially sizes higher than size 6. I've tried on my usual size and notice that size is smaller than before and had to go up a size bigger. Is women clothing getting smaller especially shorts and pants? Is it just me that its hard to find sizes bigger than 6 nowadays? Is it because clothes are getting smaller or girls are trying to get bigger butts nowadays making it hard to find bottoms size 6 and up? I never had a problem finding my size until now. Maybe I should lose a lot of weight to make my big butt smaller and try to fit in smaller sizes so I can easily find my size.

I find UK sizes 8 and 10 are getting bigger. I know I am a squit, but this last year or so, they drown me. I have to check the labels to make sure.
