Some beauty trends are cute, but then there are some that I just do not understand at all lol..

Like they’re supposed to enhance your looks, but sometimes I feel like they actually do the opposite. What’s one beauty trend you think makes people look worse instead of better?

Fakeup in general. I wish it was never invented. Humans are the only species that do not embrace natural beauty. When I see movies that depict people in old times, I get seriously jealous and wish I lived in those times just for the fact that they were much more natural. More and more, girls are starting to look like this

When really I wish they looked more natural like this...

And yes, maybe they still use a little fakeup as so many girls try to point out, but not to the point where it looks ridiculously unnatural. And no... it's not because she's blonde. There are plenty of examples women that do not use fakeup and they're of all ethnic origins.

Then there's obvious stuff like cosmetic surgery, which almost always makes them look worse, unless it's stuff like a nose jobs, making their nose look a little smaller when it was originally Pinnochio's size when he lies.

I don't mind tattoos as long as they're done tastefully. But if they have a ton of random tats that clearly don't look thought out, it does not look attractive. Sleeves also generally don't look attractive.

Earlobe earrings are the only piercings that look genuinely good in my opinion. I don't know why they are because I don't generally like artificial stuff, but they just look very nice on girls especially dangling ones. Every other kind of piercing is a negative.

And then there's the "thicc" trend. I have always preferred slim and fit girls to the "thicc" trend that caught on when I was younger.

Probably anything excessively unnatural, such as extreme makeup or weird surgeries that make you end up looking like some sort of caricature of what an attractive person should look like. If people do these things for themselves it's not a problem but setting that as the standard makes average everyday people feel horrible about themselves. Unrealistic beauty standards are a horrible thing that ruin a lot of people mentally.

There are loads of goofy beauty trends. It's usually when the look is extreme that it doesn't add to a woman's beauty. Giant eyelashes and blacked out , over eyelinered eyes are examples of this.

But often when the looks are extreme people think they're unique. The extra braided hair trend is too much for me, and fingernails that are an inch or more long. Highly non human hair color dyes, unnatural looking wigs..

Also these looks cost time and money. I'm not willing to spend either on such, but there are people who want such looks. However, I'm more into classic low maintenance looks. A bit of a trend goes a very long way. Subtle saves you a lot..

🤣🤣🤣🤣 I tried the fake eye lashes in high school! All my friends were wearing them and talked me into it. Yeah, when I got home, my brothers and dad asked me if "two spiders crawled on my face and died"! I did look ridiculous lol but some of my friends actually looked pretty. I guess they're not for everyone.

For me, it’s the super overfilled lips 🙈
A bit of filler can look lovely, but when it’s taken too far, it throws off the whole balance of the face and makes everything look swollen instead of youthful. Same with the “block” drawn-on eyebrows. Features look so much better when they keep some softness and natural texture.

The bang bump hair style from the late 2000s. Makes the forehead look so much more massive. Also the tiktok beauty trends like the vaccum on the mouth to make your lips bigger and other stupid stuff like that that actually hurts you. Also uggs in summer... why? They are winter boots. Same can be said about yoga pants, not everyone looks good in them. In fact some women look nasty in them. Then there's the atrocity of forcefully wearing pats that are 2 sizes smaller to "look skinny", when all it does is cut off circulation and push the fat up making it look worse

Yup, as always some people take everything too far. Fake eyelashes. Comical fake fingernails. Shaved / painted on eyebrows. Yoga/Camel Toe/Ass Crack pants on overweight middle aged women. Purple, Blue, and Red hair highlights. Hair tinsel / fairy hair outside of a strip club. An arm full of random tattoos that look like a bunch of questionable decisions at 1 AM after too many drinks in a biker bar across the street from a tattoo parlor. Wild colors in contact lenses. Make up applied from a bucket using a trowel. Spray tans.

I don't know what it's called but I don't like those curls some girls do with the short hairs on the forehead. It looks like they took a glue stick and wiped it on their face to get the hair to lay so flat it looks like it was drawn there.

And then it looks greasy or like a children's doll.

Lip plumper or whatever you call that, it's a liquid which burns and swells up your lips, I don't know why ducky lips are so wanted! I love thin or non existent lips too! Every lip shape looks fine to me and I think it's weird when people are ready to use something painful to plump up their lips.

Piercings other than ear lobes for normal ear rings and possibly a navel piercing.
Fake-looking eye lashes.
