Most of us start off shy and tend to braven up as the years go by. Im going to share some tips on when I feel its best to MAKE A MOVE.
A. HOW TO ASK:
The initial meeting could happen ANYWHERE
If its at school/work/church then you will most likely see them again that week/month or in the worst case scenario, that year.
1. GREET THEM LIKE A LADY/GENTLEMAN
Catcalling works on occasion but is not often the most flattering way to get in touch with someone. Its honestly a good way to get flipped off.
2. TRY TO BE THEIR FRIEND FIRST
Not many people give their number to someone they've known a short amount of time. For all they know, you could be a stalker... their pics could already be on your wall... you maybalready know their home/email address... and now you just need their number to top it off. Im telling you, try to be their friend for some weeks to a month before you ask for the digits. Who knows, maybe theyβll ask for yours first...
3. SIT CLOSE BY
At school, you may help eachother on classwork or maybe be assigned partners. At church, you may be able to share a reading program. Either way, its an easier route to starting a convo.
If its at the movies/mall/park/grocery and other places where you may hardly see them a second time around, then you may have to GROW some balls and make a move FASTER.
I REPEAT, GREET THEM LIKE YOU HAVE SOME SENSE... NOT CENTS
Theyβre not cheap little hookers... Well for one, are hookers even cheap? Treat them like hookers if thats what you're after. But for those looking for someone to date/marry, approach and play dumb. Ask βDo you know where the bread aisle is?β Yea, you're probably already standing on it, but at least he/she should get the hint that you're nervous and interested. Tell them you have seen them around (even if you haven't) then ask if theyβd like to keep in touch because you're a great guy/gal and all that goodness
If its online on a date site/social media/GAG
1. READ THEIR PROFILE FIRST
Be sure they are SINGLE and that they are what you want in your life. If you're looking for a hoe, then check to see if they post provacative pics. If youβre not trying to visit Thotland, then see what else they're about before you show interest.
2. GET THEIR ATTENTION
If its someone on GaG, answer a few of their posts or invite them to your questions, then see if they reply to any of your opinions. If its any other social media, find a way to get their attention by maybe tagging a post, but PLEASE Do Not βLIKEβ All Of Their Photos. Thats a stalker in training...
3. ADD THEM AS AN ONLINE FRIEND
If they accept your request immediately, then they're probably friendly enough to be DMed. If they take weeks to accept your request, then maybe back down... and move on.

B. WHEN TO MAKE CONTACT
1. TRANSFORMERS! GO-GETTER in disguise
You can be a 1-4 out of 10 cowardly lion and never text first, then watch them run into the arms of another. OR you can be a 5 who takes the chance of messaging first after a good 24 hours... which gives them time to initiate the converstion. OR you can be a total badaxx risk-taker who decides to message the person that same day. It can be as soon as they walk away from you βHEY JUST MAKIN SURE YOU GOT MY TEXTβ or later that night like βHEY ITS ____ HOPE YOU REMEMBER ME FROM EARLIER TODAY.β
2. LEARN THEIR SCHEDULE EARLY
The same day you get to know eachother by text/call it won't hurt to ask... βIs this the time you wakeup/go to bed/work everyday? Just wondering so that I dont interfereβ Also, learn their texting habits. If they text you back every 10 mins, do the same. Not forever. But for now. Play their game for the first month. And then when month two hits, if everythings going good, get strict on that axx and tell them whatsup
Welp, thats all for now folks π
