How to keep text conversation going if there is a lull? examples?

The best way to question without questioning is to do it casually in conversation where the question is relevant to what you're talking about. Eg- you're laughing or hearing a story about someone's sister, then you can ask if he has sisters. One common tactic girls use is to offer information about themselves then pose the question. Eg- I don't agree with sex before marriage, what do you think about it? This isn't very subtle though, so I'd stick with the relevant question idea. If there's a lull, a mistake is to try to fill it. Let it be natural and unforced, otherwise it will just seem like filler and will probably be boring. Lull's are normal. I'd let it stay for a little while give the guy a chance to think of something to say and failing that you can think of something. Sometimes if it's reached a conclusion it's best just to leave it and come back later.
Best thing to do is to stop. Don't force a convo to keep going if it's naturally starting to lull. The way our mind works, is we will best remember someone by our last interaction with them, so don't let that be a lull. As soon you see a lull coming, just say "something's just come up gotta run!". Then initiate the conversation later down the track when you guys have more things to talk about.

you can always make it flirty by adding ";)" and referencing certain things/topics. and if you have a hard time keeping the conversation going then start talking about yourself until you can think if something new to build momentum off of or maybe he will have done so before you have to.
The object of the game isn't about texting, it is about getting them to meet you in person. Talk on the phone. If texting is your only means of communication then you are too young for a relationship.
Whats on your mind? ;) something like that lol
Nice smile you have.
