How do you know if a guy likes you if you barely know him?

I like this guy and every time we see each other we exchange looks but we don't really get a chance to talk because there are always other people about . I have spoken to him a few times but the conversations have always been brief so I don't know if he likes me too .

I see him talking to my friends a lot and if I look over at them he looks back at me . The other day I was talking to one of my male friends and he walked right by us . I was gonna say hello but my friend was talking and I didn't want to be rude to them by interrupting what he was saying to say hi to the guy . The funny thing was he didn't walk away he just stood behind us while we we're talking and all that time I thought I could just turn around and talk to him but my friend was still talking ! Anyways he was standing there for a long time and then walked away . Why did he just stand there listening to us talking ?

Also he might think that me and my friend are a couple because we're always together . Help !

He might just be shy around women, go up and speak to him, if your friends are around just say excuse me for a moment . Walk over to him and say would you like to go somewhere and get something to eat and talk .

I don't think you will embarrass him the worst that can happen is he will say no .

Most men like their women somewhat aggressive but not too overbearing or loud . You might just find out he is really a nice guy just very very shy around girls .

All I can say is go for it .

I don't think he's shy around women because he talks to my female friends too. Maybe he's not shy and he's just not interested? How can I tell the difference between the two?

I think he is shy around you and does not know what to say he maybe afraid of blowing it with you. I know this from experience he is at ease around the people he does not want to ask out on a date. Maybe just not able to deal with rejection most people can't.

You still might have to make the first step but remember even if he rejects you I still think you can handle it better most women are more mature than men. I hope this is not one relationships years later you look back and say I should have!

Ok so I the made the first move. I smiled at him and sat opposite him at lunch (we work together) there were plenty of empty tables so it would seem obvious why I sat there right? We both didn't say anything for a bit and then my phone rang, while I was on the phone he made a phone call and then someone from my dept cam and sat opposite and started talking to me, it just feels like we're never gonna get a chance to talk! Should I just give up?

Stop playing games with him and cut to the chase get his cell # and call him and ask him for a date it may not be the way you were raised but the only thing that could happen is him saying no and that would be his loss not your and the matter is finished go on with your life.

I know when I was not dating and asked some girl out she might say no maybe even more than once but the first time I start getting serious with someone that same girl I have been asking out now ask me out! I answer No!

well same issue almost except this guy lives across the street from me. its like wow I mean I really like him enough to say love. but we barely talk to each other. we really aren't never alone but that's not the point. I'm usaly not the type to ask out boys but in this case he is so sexy that I'm thinking about it. but I'm really afraid if he regect meh. if so I will regret it nd be so p*ssed so idk...

He probably didn't want to interrupt you some guys are shy . And don't know what to do . Make sure he knows you don't have a boyfriend and that you don't like them he will get around to it . Make him notice you but not to much flaunt . But not to much . Just make sure he knows you are interested even if you have to get someone else to tell him

He might be interested in you. If he talks to your friends, it can mean that he is trying to find out something about you. Try talk to him (even over Facebook or text) and ask what he thinks about you.
