What's the etiquette if a guy buys you a drink at a bar/pub?

Say you're at a pub/bar alone or with a friend, and the bartender/waiter gives you a drink from a guy (for example, in films/tv they say something like "compliments from the gentleman at the bar/in the suit" ) what should you do? Do you go over to them/invite them over? Do you drink it or leave it? Does it depend on whether you're interested?

What do you guys want to happen? Would you be offended if the girl drank it but didn't come over? (i. e. wasn't interested)

You COULD go over if you're interested. Alternatively, you could smile and nod, sort of giving them a green light to approach you.

If you really don't want to talk to them, consider declining. Though if they already bought it they're sort of a dumbass.

If they OFFER to buy you a drink and you're 100% not interested, say no. If you're 70% not interested but willing to let them try to win you over, go ahead.

Well, from what I remember; it means that the guy is sexually into you, and wants to get to know you better. It never hurts to go see if he's nice, but if I were you; I would bring a close friend with me (Just in case if the guy is a sociopath) So just go talk to him ;)
